I was still gonna calm Barry in other ways that would affect my feelings and stay in my memories forever.
He kept on groaning while I wished I could do something to help other than just standing behind him gripping his shoulder with all my strength.
"Shhh, Barry, you're gonna be fine" I whispered softly in his ear "Its gonna end soon, okay?"
"Okay" He spoke in a quiet whispery voice "Okay"
He went calm a little for a moment, before a scream escaped his lips.
"Shhhh" I hushed him gently, massaging his shoulders.
"Okay" He muttered, breathing heavily. "Fuck, Don's gonna kill me!"
Don, who was still drawing did not look up "It's not me, it's the needle"
"Well it hurt like a bitch!" Barry yelled at him now opening his eyes "Feels like my dick is about to get chopped off"
"Oh, I can go down to that if you want" Don said and for the first time I saw a smirk on his face.
Barry's temperature increased at Don's words "You're gonna ruin my life if you do that!!!" There was fright in his loud voice, then he lowered his the volume of voice to a murmur "Oh, Don! I swear to the fucking goddess, I'm gonna kill you after this!"
If the situation was not serious at that moment, I would have bursted out in laughter and that is what I am doing right at present when Barry said that part in the dining room.
[Back to present]
The whole room was filled with loud laughter, even Pete could not help but chuckle while Barry only managed a smile. He probably felt embarrassed after narrating part of his embarrassing moment when getting a tattoo.
"It wasn't exactly my finest moment" He said, looking down at the table.
"Oh, goddess, Barry! You're so funny" Freya, my cousin with the squeaky voice said.
"Isn't that why we love him?" Becky said, grinning while Pete rolled his eyes and drank from his wine.
"So was that how it ended? I wanna laugh more, Barry" Freya said with bright eyes.
Barry stared into space, tapping his first finger on the table as he was obviously having flashes of the things that happened next. Yeah, it was unforgettable for me and I'm glad he didn't forget too.
"Pixie's kindness didn't stop at just holding me down while I got that tattoo..." He turned his head at me, briefly locking eyes with me despite the presence of others in the room "She helped me get through every pains without getting tired of me, and....."
His words started sounding far off as my own mind drifted to the past, recalling vividly everything that happened.
[Flashback]
Don finished wrapping the tattoo up and packed up his instruments while I sat beside Barry, watching him as he smiled a little like he wasn't just screaming his lungs out, cussing Don out.
"Hey" I called softly and he looked up at me, his green eyes now back to normal and his fangs and claws disappeared "How do you feel now?" I asked concernedly.
He gave me a smile "I feel like my butts was stabbed a hundred times, and my dick sliced into pieces...." He shrugged "But I'm okay"
His answer got me chuckling. I subconsciously rubbed his naked warm back with my hands, loving the feeling of his sturdiness under my palm while he gazed at me with playful eyes.
"I never knew this was the shit humans go through to get a tattoo" He said, shaking his head slowly.
"I don't think it's usually that painful, I think it's the Moonshadow giving you pains" I brought my hand up to his neck which was still a bit warmer than usual "And I'm sorry for the pains" I whispered, staring softly at him.
His playful gaze slowly turned serious and we stared at each other, lost in each other's hot and expressive gazes. I felt a certain connection with him deep inside me at that moment. It was like a pull similar to what I feel with Pete sometimes, but there is something different about Barry's own, It is strange and indescribable.
I quickly took my eyes and hands off him. He also looked away from my face and I also did, but after few seconds, he returned his hot gaze to my face, then we both awkwardly averted our gazes to other things.
He rose from his seat without a word. "I'll be in the car" He said to me, walking out with his naked chest, while I watched his back and shoulder move as he walks. Barry is so attractive, no doubt about that.
"Here, give him this" Don said, stretching out Barry's shirt towards me.
I smiled a little and collected it from him, suppressing the stupid urge to put the shirt in my nose and inhale Barry's natural cinnamon scent.
"And a little information for you, girl." Don started with his very serious look "Bar might act a little...." he paused and pocketed one of his hands, curving up his lips "He might act out of control"
I tilted my head, interested in Don's information.
"He's gonna get kinda moody in a sec and then the next, he might want you to cuddle him"
My mouthed opened as I took in Don's words "Oh"
"He's gonna get touchy and all that, please try to understand that it's not exactly his fault, okay? The Moonshadow herbs makes werewolves act funny" He explained.
My lips formed an 'o' as I grasped everything Don was trying to say.
"Yeah, so..." he pursed out his lips "Just try to be patient with him, okay? He might be a dickhead sometimes, but he's a good guy when he wants to be, trust me"
I let my eyes trail towards the exit door, briefly thinking about Barry, before returning my eyes back to Don "And you're a good friend"
I meant the last part. Don might be the serious type that never plays around but that does not make him a bad person.
Minutes later, I was in Barry's car, enduring the uncomfortable silence as he manages to drive even with his bad arm. Don never told me I was gonna have to deal with silent treatment from Barry especially as he drove recklessly on the road, and how we got home safely remained a mystery to me. It was a real miracle.
By the time we got home, his arm had started to ache him again, probably from stressing it while driving.
"Fuck" he cursed, patting his arm gently as he walked into the silent building while I watched him with worry written all over my face.
"You want me to follow you to your room?" I asked gently, careful not to piss him off.
He stopped on his track to gape at me, looking unsure for some reasons we both know, but won't talk about.
"Pixie, I don't know, I..." He looked away "I'm not exactly in my best mood"
"I know" I said and took a step closer "But, Barry I can't just leave you alone like this" I gestured to his whole body. I know he's just trying to be okay when he's really not.
"Maybe it's best you should. Pixie, I am not myself, I can feel it" He said, trying to keep out his full emotions.
"I know you are not yourself and that just makes me wanna stay with you" I said stubbornly.
He took a step closer, the gap between us just few inches from closing up. He tilted my head upward with his good hand "I thought I told you to run from me" He whispered, boldly having eye contact with me "Why are you disobeying me, Princess?"
The nickname he called me brought heat to my face and my lips parted in confusion to why I could not run from Barry when I had every opportunity to. Something unexplainable from within me pulls me to Barry and makes me stay whenever I should be running for the hills.
I am so crazy. No doubt about that. I am
