Jason went to bed with a swollen hand and the next day when they were preparing to go to the farmland for daily activities, Eric noticed the swollen hand and asked what would happen if he was bullied by Richard who seemed to be the only one in the room that didn't like him.
"No Eric, he didn't bully me he didn't take a look at me after that incident" replied Jason knowing that if he was slow, Kristopher would be informed and that would be trouble for him.
"If he's not responsible for what happened to you, then do you mind telling me how you ended up getting a swollen hand?" asked Eric with a frown as he waited for Jason to provide an answer.
"I fell on the ground yesterday when I went out to clean up" replied Jason as he lied to Eric since he would be mistaken for a joke if he told him that he was training in the middle of the night.
Seeing that he got the injury due to lack of self-awareness, Eric decided not to speak about it anymore but still remembered Jason to not let his injury slow him down else it would end well for him if the quartermaster found him working at a slow pace.
Jason gave him an assurance that he won't let his injury slow him down and they went out to complete their daily duties. Throughout the days he has gone to the farmland to work, he has always seen Mira in the farmland and it has always been a reminder to him that he still needs to get his revenge.
After they were done with their duties, Jason and the others went back to their hut where Kristopher instructed him to go and report to Morrison who is uncharged of caring for all the servant needs. After being told where he could find him, Jason quickly left the hut to look for him. At the same time, he took the chance to look at the sect very well.
"If I'm going to take my revenge on Mira, then I would need to know more about her" Jason mutters to himself as he continues to head towards the cottage he was supposed to find Morrison.
On getting to the cottage, Jason discovered it more like an office with people running in and out of the cottage with a maid cleaning the place and a young man issuing assignments to some slaves. Noticing that there is a newcomer in the cottage, the young man stops what he is doing and asks Jason what he's doing here.
"I'm looking for sir Morrison. I was told to see him about my injury" replied Jason while raising his hand to show the young man what he was talking about.
The young man showed him where he could see Sir Morrison before going back to his duties. Meanwhile, after being told where he could see him, Jason went inside the cottage only for him to find a door by his left and it happened to be the only room in the cottage apart from the open space where the young man was working.
"Knock Knock".
Jason hit the door lightly as he waited for a reply from the other end which didn't take much time before Sir Morrison rang from within the room. Going in after getting permission from him, Jason was just about to greet him when he met his code gaze and was left frightened by the old man.
"What brings you here boy?" asked Morrison with a frown as he stared at Jason.
"Sir Kristopher told me to come and see you concerning my hand since it's kind of getting in the way of my work" replied Jason, a little scared of Morrison.
Morrison didn't say a word for some time before letting out a sigh as he said.
"You have only been in this quarter for less than a week and you have already sustained an injury. Look here boy, if you want to get to the happy side of the quartermaster, then you need to toughen up okay" said Morrison.
"Yes sir, I promise to be more careful from now on while doing my business" replied Jason with a slight bow.
Morrison only gave a nod before taking out a little box from his ring as he passed it to Jason who had his mouth open in surprise. Not caring about his expression since it was not the first time he'd seen that look, Morrison decided to explain how to use the content inside to Jason.
"You just have to apply it to your injury once a day and before long, you will be back to working perfectly fine again".
Jason opens the box to take a look at what is inside the box and that's where he discovers what was in the box was a black substance with some awful smell. He didn't say anything other than applying it to his injury before leaving the cottage.
Getting back to the hut, Jason noticed that they were not in the hut and decided to go get his food since that would be the only place they would be and on getting there, Jason found out that Kristopher was the only one there.
"Hey Jason, how did it go with that old man?" asked Kristopher as he called him over.
"Great. Where are the others" Jason asked after replying to his question.
"Eh the quartermaster requested for some helper so I have to send them her way" said Kristopher with a smile.
Hearing that the quartermaster had requested for them, Jason decided to put the matter at the back of his head and focus on how he was going to use the opportunity presented to him to ask Kristopher some questions since he was alone.
"Can I ask you a question Kristopher?" asked Jason.
"What is it boy?" replied Kristopher as he stopped what he was doing.
"Can you tell me what you know about Mira?".
