When they went through the door, Jason discovered that he was not teleported to the hall where they usually rest before undertaking the trial and to make matters worse, Noah was nowhere to be found, leaving him to wander in this strange void on his own. He could not help but wonder if he was already in the process of being reborn but it was actually then that he heard the voice of the blurry figure in his head.
"Congratulations on passing the final trial. You are now being reborn, you will be put In a sleeping state in the next five seconds to complete the rebirth process to avoid unnecessary problems" The system briefs him about what is going to happen to him before his rebirth.
After getting the information, Jason didn't have the time to digest it before he fell into a deep slumber as his body began to move through the void while some glow began to appear around him until they slipped into his body becoming one with him. It took hours before his body finally left the void and landed in a farmland with a thud sound.
He was suddenly woken up by the fall as he began to look around his environment with a confused look on his face as he noticed the place he was sent to was not the actual country he was living in before his death so he thought.
"Where are mine?" asked Jason as he got up from the ground before taking a step forward to observe his environment clearly and it was only then he knew he was teleported to a farmland.
Jason decided to leave the farmland while still looking around but during this time someone suddenly came across him. A young girl dressed in a taoist robe while holding a basket and with the look of things, she seems to be in the midst of harvesting the crops when she sees Jason walking aimlessly in the farmland.
"Ahhh, somebody helps, there is a strange thief in the farmland" yelled the girl as she headed toward Jason with a stick in hand.
"Huh, a strange thief where?" Jason was confused about her statement before taking a look at himself and it was then he noticed he dressed differently from her.
"Damn, she doesn't mean me right" said Jason before turning around and beginning to run away when he saw the girl coming at him.
"Someone stop him, he's getting away" the girl continues to yell as she continues to give chase.
"What's your problem lady, I didn't steal anything. I woke up in this place and was about to take my leave so how am I a thief" complains Jason as he continues to make a run for it.
"You liar, you were already in the midst of harvesting our crops and if I did not arrive on time, I wonder what would have been left of the farmland" replied the girl with a serious look on her face.
Jason finally gave up on the notion of convincing her that he's not a thief and she was just misunderstanding and just focused on escaping before more people got involved but it was like the whole world was against him as more people began to appear out of nowhere with some showing up in the sky.
With the appearance of the newcomers, it didn't take long before he was caught as he tied up with a surprised look on his face as he just stood there while staring at them.
"What the hell did I just witness? How come some people can float in the sky? I've been tricked by whoever sent me here" Jason yelled inwards with tears in his eyes as he looked at the scary people before him.
"Good thing we were able to catch him on time else he would have gotten away with it. Nice one Mira" said one of the men who was floating in the sky.
Knowing he has gotten into trouble, Jason decides to speak up for himself before it's too late since it's not clear what his punishment is going to be.
"Uncle, I'm not a thief, I accidentally appeared here and was just about to leave when I met her" said Jason as he tried to justify himself.
There was silence when they heard Jason calling them uncles before bursting into laughter as one of them suddenly spoke up.
"A mere human trying to steal from us only to be caught, Now you are saying you just appeared here. Now tell me, do you think you can easily fool us? Asked the man.
"Elder Aaron, I don't see a reason why we should reason with him" said one of the men.
"Yes, let's give him fifty strokes to teach him not to steal from the turtle sect" said another man.
Jason knew straight away that his fate had been sealed and by what he's hearing, the elder floating in the sky happens to be one with status with the way they refer to him. Since that is the case, he decides to work his way with the elder since it's his only way of escaping without being beaten half-dead.
"I didn't steal anything elder I was only teleported here. You have to believe me" said Jason.
The elder could not help but frown when he heard Jason calling him by his title and didn't say a thing as he watched Jason. After some time, he decided to speak.
"For now, let's bring him to the sect and think of a better punishment for him, and as for you Mira, you can continue with your activities" said the elder.
The others have something to say but since the elder has instructed them to take him to the sect, they decide to do as he says as they pick Jason up before heading back to the sect. It was then Jason realized he was teleported into the turtle sect territory and could not help but let out a deep sigh.
"I was played by fate all along".
