Just then, the group had finished a lusty breakfast together in the warm morning sun, when Felix appeared jogging towards their position to greet them. Wilhelm welcomed him with open arms, saying, "Felix, what a pleasant surprise! What brings you here on this fine day?"
Felix, Blushing, replied, "Sorry I'm late guys. My aunt is visiting family today so I had to meet her. But I didn't want to miss practice; so I arrived as after as I could get here."
"No problem, your family's always most important. Besides you could show up, we're glad," Wilhelm reassures.
"But Felix will play the bad guy, am I right Göran? Then for my part, I shall be Shylock," he said with a light little laugh.
As the group joined in to laugh at him now, Lena spoke up next: "Practice, by the way, Felix, want to run our scene? I want to see once and for all if we really do have this chemistry thing."
Of course, we can do that right now, Felix agreed immediately.
With that, Felix and Lena went off to practice while Wilhelm turned toward Göran and Tanja. "So, what do you think of our show? Any ideas for improvements?"
"I feel all the characters really fit together very well, chemistry-wise," Tanja offered. "But maybe we could work on our lines to make them sound more natural?"
To this Göran agreed, "Yeah, and maybe a little more farce could help lighten the mood."
Wilhelm reflected a moment, "Those are excellent suggestions. We'll try putting them into practice in our next rehearsal and see how it works."
With that, they moved off to continue rehearsals. Wilhelm felt himself, in fact, very fortunate to be able to work with such fine talent and such a dedicated group of actors. He was excited to see the final product from all their hard work.
