They reveled in their Fika. Lena offered up some snacks she had procured earlier. "What type of snack is this?" Grandma asked, intrigued. She appeared interested in the snacks Lena looked like the cat that got the cream. She spoke. "This is a Swiss dessert. I used to have this in all my time When I lived in Switzerland. I was with my family".
Grandma nodded. She had a savory encounter with a creamy sweet treat. "This is good. You make it?" Lena gave a disclaimer gesture. "No, I bought these. It came from a bakery." Lena showed openness for possible changes in the future.
"I can bake such pastries. I have the skill. Sharing is what I want to do. Imagine tasting my own dessert art."
A beaming smile resulted on Grandma's face. Her words were laced with gratification. "That sounds wonderful my darling. I am certain it would taste just as amazing as this." The snacks were coming from a store.
She then went on to explain life in Switzerland, how her parents were sent there amongst other things and that the hotel they had first managed. Her family had to live in Switzerland for 7 years because her father was one of the executive directors at this hotel. She had only just moved back to Sweden and was now in the same High School as Wilhelm.
"I used to go to the same primary school as Wilhelm before I moved to Switzerland," Lena added. "It's nice being back, catching up with old friends."
