Chereads / My Stellar Heartthrob / Chapter 3 - Aiden Miller

Chapter 3 - Aiden Miller

"Boss!" A low voice rang out in the silent office, just loud enough for the man to hear.

"What is it?" He questioned, without raising his head, as if the presence of the secretary didn't matter to him.

A lady stood professionally; her demeanor strict and refined. "It's about the young miss."

Giving her a glance, he lowered his head back to his work. "What about her?"

Though his attitude appeared nonchalant, having worked with him for years, she could sense his underlying concern just by the look in his eyes.

"Senior management officials are trying to contact you. They've sent several emails regarding yesterday's meeting, expressing Young Miss offense. They've even worked under the founder CEO but felt humiliated yesterday."

A smirk formed on his lips, a glint passing through his ice-blue eyes. There was a mixture of pride and arrogance as his brows quirked up. "I didn't know my sister was quite a tyrant."

The secretary was shocked, to say the least. It seemed as if her boss was oblivious to the situation.

Who in Nexarion International doesn't know the treasured sister of their CEO, Gavin Arnold? Aviva Miller! Her name alone could send shivers throughout Nexa.

Legally free to act within the entire company, her word held more power than even the vice president. Having worked under her brother last year, she was known for her brutal efficiency.

Every project under her leadership was a success, and those working under her were always on edge. Even higher-ups couldn't challenge her, as she adeptly countered any objections during questioning. She was only docile in front of her brother; otherwise, she was a restrained wild tigress.

The situation escalated when she summarily terminated a young secretary who had been plotting to seduce her brother.

Her words were concise: "My brother is not a parking space, where anyone can pull off their car. He is an exclusive apron where only a designated private jet will land."

After that incident, nobody dared to make advances toward their CEO. She was a born tyrant, a ferocious one at that.

"What else?" Seeing the content look in her boss's eyes, she understood his intentions.

"What should I reply to their messages?" She asked, reminding him of his duties.

He snapped back into his cold and ruthless attitude. "Just let her handle it."

"But they still think you're the chairman of the company," she tried to prompt him.

"Oh," was his only response. Sometimes, she felt like banging her head in frustration.

"Boss—" she started, but he interrupted her, slightly irritated by her constant interruptions. He just wanted to put an end to the matter.

"Understood! Let them be. In due time, they will understand."

Being his secretary, she knew he was agitated and wanted her to leave. She didn't want to face his scolding, so she quickly moved to take her leave.

"Clara! Book a flight back to Solaria. We're leaving," he ordered, his tone stern enough to give her chills.

She nodded and hurried off to make the arrangements.

The airport buzzed with activity, and a young man wearing sunglasses could be seen, his sunny smile captivating those around him. Lost in his own thoughts, he exuded charm that made it hard for anyone to look away.

"Take me to Galaxy World," he instructed the driver as he got into the car.

Though it wasn't his first time in the city, he was still amazed by its vibrancy. With its warm sun, cool air, and a backdrop of mountains, lakes, and greenery, it truly was the capital.

When the car suddenly came to a stop and the driver looked worried, he stepped out to inspect the engine, which was emitting smoke.

"Damn!" he cursed under his breath. The car was no longer operable.

"I'll call for service," the driver apologized.

"It's not your fault. Take your time. I'll see if I can catch a ride," the young man replied, understandingly.

After waiting for some time, a car approached. He waved it down, and it stopped in front of him.

The window rolled down, and a girl's voice called out, "Need a lift?"

He glanced back at the driver and saw the girl's sympathetic expression as she observed the car trouble. She quickly took out her phone and made a call, sending her live location to someone to come help.

Stepping out of the car, she instructed the driver to wait for assistance.

"Let's go!" she said to the man, who watched her with a mix of doubt and curiosity.

Taking the passenger seat, she introduced herself. "Inara Jones, and you?"

"The one and only Aiden Miller!" he replied, his exuberant energy making anyone feel at ease.

"You're cute!" she remarked.

"I've known that since I was born," he replied, his voice tinged with fond memories.

"Really? I think you're quite handsome too."

"That's nothing to be proud of. You haven't seen my family's genes. But my cuteness is unparalleled; even Evie can't compare to me!"

"Your girlfriend?" She asked. Seeing his easygoing nature, she was quite curious, about his family. If his look are nothing to proud off, does that mean his family is a piece of antique.

"No," he tsked.

"Phenomenal, one of a kind: my dear sister," The exaggeration was quite heavy, but the adoration in his eyes and the grin on his lip wasn't.
