Gianna watched as Hera comforted Teresa. She could only imagine the pain of losing a child, suffering miscarriages, getting kicked out by a husband, and getting replaced by a maid.
How cruel!
"Who's this beautiful girl?" Teresa asked.
"That's my gr.." Hera covered her awkwardness with a dry cough before proceeding.
"That's my master's daughter Gianna Kent. Gianna this is Teresa, my cousin."
"How do you do ma'am?" Gianna smiled.
"What a well-mannered beauty. You may just call me Teresa."
"I needed some vegetables for supper, do you mind picking some from the garden Gianna?" Asked Hera.
"Of course I don't mind." Gianna smiled and excused herself to get a basket.
A long moment of silence prevailed before Teresa breaked the awkward silence.
"Do you have a maid?"
"No why?"
" I wanted you to hire me as your maid." Teresa said.
"What! Why?"
