"Then how are you now able to cast spells?"
"Oh, about that..." Hera sighed heavily.
"If it makes you uncomfortable you don't have to tell me." Teresa hurried to say seeing Hera's hesitation.
"Except that I have to. I need someone other than myself to know the truth too. I may not always be there."
"Why are you being so pessimistic Hera, are you speaking of your death?"
"Yes, but am digressing. I can now practise magic because I used to try casting spells daily and just one morning it worked. I was elated but not for long. I later learnt that my mother's curse wasn't permanent and that's why my spells were suddenly working, my mother had died . I never got to see her again and maybe even apologize. We fought when she took my magic and betrothed me to Aziel."
A hot tear rolled down her cheek.
"I am so sorry Hera."
Teresa said as a knock on the door interrupted them. Hera quickly wiped the tears streaming down her face.
