[Tom's Pov]
"You make me feel unexplainable things, Celestine. I never felt like this before."
"Felt like what Tom?" Celestine's innocent face looked too cute for him to resist. Celestine was not like other girls. He knew Celestine was his and only his.
"Alive" Saying this Tom's lips crashed on Celestine's.
"My Lord" a voice interrupted my thoughts. I looked down to see one of my slaves bowing down at my feet.
"What is it?" I questioned with anger. How dare this lowly man interrupt my thoughts!
"My lord, Mr. Malfoy sent an owl to you regarding the new positions for the Wizarding Welfare and Muggles."
I took my letter and ordered the slave to get out. It was another document on the WWm. It is an organization aimed at the welfare of mudbloods. But in reality, it was just another method to increase and secure my power. In the last six years, a lot has changed. I went from being a nobody to becoming an emperor of this world after being a poor, abandoned orphan. Yet I always missed her. There was not a day when her innocent face did not come into my view. Earlier I wasn't ready to accept that she made me feel something. But now I am desperate to just have a glimpse of her. She made me feel unexplainable things. She is the only person whom I want to care about. I told my stupid followers that they could have a chance with her. But no, no one can have a chance with her except me. She is mine and mine forever and the entire world knows I don't share.

[Celestine's POV]
"Good morning, Celestine" I heard someone say.
I turned back to see Ms. Jordan standing there. She was smiling brightly at me. "Good morning, Jordan" I smiled back. Ms Jordan has been babysitting Amelia since a child. She thinks I am an unfortunate single mother. She was the only one who had been kind to me on this street. People think that being a single mother at this age is a shame. In addition to that, a stripper for a mother is a big no for society. They have labelled me as a whore. But they do not understand how desperate I am to keep my small family going.
" So, are you heading for the WWm check?"
"No, I was just going to the grocery shop".
"Hurry up dear! We only have ten minutes to get there. Amelia has already gone in with her friends!"
Hearing her say this made my eyes pop out. "B-but Amelia said she was going to the park."
"Yes, I know that. But I told her to go and save a spot for you in the line for you".
"Oh!" I managed to say while panicking. " I have to go Jordan."
"Yes dear" saying this she climbed up the stairs.
This cannot happen. They do not know about Amelia. I need to find her.
[Committee hall]
I was feeling nervous. Amelia was somewhere here. If the wizards got a trail of Amelia's or mine magic, we are doomed. I planned an escape for us. If Amelia had not run away at Ms. Jordan's suggestion, we would have been out of the street by now.
Amelia, where are you? We cannot let them find you. Amelia!
I felt desperate.
"Mumsie!" I suddenly heard a bubbly voice say. "Amelia" I immediately turned around to see Amelia waving at me enthusiastically. She was asking me to join her. Her friends and their families were behind her.
"Amelia!" I rushed to my daughter who was in the line. " We need to go! Come out!" I almost cried out while saying that. "But you have to attend the check first Ms. Earl" I heard a child say beside Amelia. "Jax dear we will just come back in a minute" I said to him. "But mum I want to go with Jax!" Amelia whined. She was best friends with that boy. "Celestine dear we are so ahead in the line. It would only take a few minutes." Jax's mother said. "B-but"
Suddenly I felt a hot sting on my back. " Mom!" Amelia cried out. The others in the line looked down immediately. I turned back to see a WWm guard with a leash on his hand. " Get back in the line mud blood!" saying this the guard moved away. "Mum!" Amelia held my hand softly. I got in the line not wanting to cause a scene. Jax's mother asked me in a hushed tone if I was alright. I just nodded. Looks like desperate times will call for desperate measures. I put my hands inside my sleeves to reassure myself that the thirteen-and-a-half-inch wood was there to protect me.
"Next five enter" a lady ordered.
The elderly lady in front of me entered. Jax and their family entered. "Mum come on it's our turn!" Amelia said holding my hand. My legs were shivering. But I entered the room.
The pictures in the room were all frightening. They were of different people facing different dark curses. At the centre was the picture of our emperor. Looking as handsome and smug as ever. I sighed looking at the picture.
After fifteen minutes Jax and his family were called. Next, it would be our turn. Though I and Amelia had magic-suppressing potions yesterday, I don't know if the wizards will be able to find the trace of magic.
The wizards were running a wand next to Jax. His mother and father were clear to go. They were asking some questions. When suddenly the wand began to glow red at Jax's chest. "Mother!" Jax whispered with fear evident in his eyes. "This boy has magic in him" the stout lady checking him declared. "No! I am sure it is a mistake! Please check again!" Jax's mother cried.
The witch sighed and pulled out her wand and put it over his chest. It again glowed red. I gasped. How is it that I didn't know? "You can't take Jax away" Amelia said running in front. "Little mud blood don't tell me what I can't do! Take this boy to Shirley, ma'am." The lady ordered. "No, you can't" Amelia said throwing herself in front of Jax. "Amelia!" I said weakly. I tried running to her, but a wizard stopped me. "Let me go to my daughter!" I shouted. "If you don't want to be punished stay still " the man whispered in front of me. "I don't care! Let me go!" I growled.
Suddenly a voice behind me stopped everyone.
"What is this commotion?" the female asked.
"Shirley ma'am just the usual you know".
Shirley, Anne Shirley my only friend.
"Oh!" she said looking at me and the rest of them.
She would surely protect us. She was my friend after all. Even if she doesn't recognize me, she will help us. She has always been a kind girl. But what she did surprised me. She turned back and started walking out. She took out her wand while moving out of the door and with a non-verbal spell tied and gagged Jax.
"Anne Shirley" I suddenly cried out. Why did I shout? This was an involuntary action. There were tears in my eyes.
Anne turned back and looked at me with her non-passive look. "Yes," she asked. I walked to her and -
