Demon hunters were the least Anton could deploy at this moment; they were experts in neutralizing threats with the most modern equipment.
As expected, they began to monitor police stations, fire departments, and hospitals to ensure there were no parasites among humans. The main problem with parasites is that they can practically possess any human body they come into contact with.
It is known that parasites enter a part of the body and take control of the human brain, completely dominating the identity of the person they were before. Therefore, it must be ensured that humans are completely clean to work with them and exterminate the parasites.
"A parasite that can alter its host's behavior and, by doing so, improve its own transmission will be favored by natural selection." Anton was reading reports from experienced scientists that were of no real use to him.
When they arrived at the police station, Lucy wanted to inspect them, but Anton refused and said, "Don't waste my time. If any of my men betray us, they will lose their heads before they can do anything."
The upcoming meeting would involve many police officers. Anton disagreed with this because many idiot cops would die just to satisfy their curiosity, but he had no choice.
The gray team was not sufficient to find all the parasites. The meters usually used by the Light Association to find the frequencies of dark entities were also not working, so until they find a way to detect them, this is necessary.
"Are you going to allow the police to get involved?"
Anton looked at the whole group gathered and said, "Normally, I wouldn't, but I'm sure they will lead us to the parasites, and then we will eliminate them."
Humans are fragile creatures; most of them are involved in things one can't even imagine. Anton was sure that some of these people would get involved in a parasite case and then find answers.
"We have taken care of humans for a long time. It is more than clear that I don't agree with them knowing this information, but they will help us exterminate all the parasites, and that will be the end." Anton knew that, at least at this level, this information couldn't be suppressed.
To maintain control, the Light Association will establish a protocol using the Eye of God to hack every cell phone, every call, every message, and every conversation these people have, and they will know if there is a leak of secret information.
What will happen to these people if they lie? The calmest thing that could happen is that they die. Something much worse than that is surviving and living to tell about it.
"The X-ray exam you received this morning was to find out if there were any parasites among you. Do you want to know how many parasites we found? Zero!"
Anton knew that Lucy was very sarcastic. At times, he disliked her behavior, but he understood what she was going through, so he never let her know.
"So, will you do that test every day?"
Lucy nodded and said, "It wasn't necessary to do that test every day, but my recent boss ordered it to be done every day until we finish the elimination operation."
"Wouldn't we lose a lot of time?"
"It's that or lose your job; you can decide what to choose."
Anton knew that parasites appeared only once in the world, and they took over a human body. But as he had suspicions, he knew the possibility that parasites could change bodies was very high, and he didn't want to take that risk.
Everything was going very well until they were shown the killed parasite, its withered body with its head transformed into long tentacles with blades.
"I can smell the fear." Anton murmured as he saw all the horrified reactions when they saw a simple body.
The only ones who didn't move were the people under Anton's command; they all remained expressionless.
When Lucy finished her explanations, she looked at Anton and said, "Now let me introduce you to the person who will lead the elimination operations. You must all strictly follow his orders."
Anton, who was smoking a cigarette, slowly walked to the front from the back. His eyes passed over each of the people with their heads down, and he smiled slightly.
