When the plane landed, Anton and his team departed in vans towards the location where a tactical operation against several targets was about to take place.
"Is it this place?" Anton looked at the factory where an elimination operation was to be conducted under the police squad in coordination with the military.
Alexander approached with information and said, "It's estimated that there are five targets. The army is handling it under the command of Choi Joon-Kyung. She has discovered a way to use parasites as a frequency gauge to find more parasites. This is a method that is beginning to be used in other countries."
"Fascinating. What's the death rate on missions?"
"About 25% die if the elimination mission involves three or more targets. An additional 5% are expected to be injured, which would result in significant losses." Alexander stopped reading when he saw that it was enough.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"They are very inefficient. Their elimination methods do not seem to have a 100% success rate at the moment of conclusion. A real shame." Anton shook his head, seeing that these losses were being reflected everywhere.
Crack!
At that moment, everyone saw a parasite burst through the window of a building where the elimination was taking place.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Ms. Choi confronted it, but she couldn't do much before the parasite escaped by flying away.
"I'll handle this." Anton looked at the dark entity that had climbed to the roof of a building and, in an instant, appeared beside it.
"Who?" The parasite did not anticipate Anton's appearance in such a short time, and before it could make a move, it was struck in the neck.
Crack!
"Binding of Seven Triangles!" Anton murmured this quietly, and from the palm of his hand, an indetectable light tied the head of this parasite.
At the same time, when Anton completely suppressed the parasite, he held it tightly by its mostly broken neck and slammed it hard against the ground.
Boom!
The impact left cracks spreading across the roof of the building, but they didn't reach the point of collapsing. So, after suppressing the parasite, Anton approached it, wanting to know what it was thinking.
"You are truly an interesting creature. If you weren't driven by a sense of supremacy and conquest, you'd be good elements for eliminating dark entities." Anton stepped away from the parasite in the human body, which writhed, trying to free itself from the bindings placed on it.
"What are you?"
"I don't know, but I know what kind of parasites your species are, so I wonder exactly what your plans are for coming here to my territory. Obviously, you're not here to conquer our lands; you would have sent more if that were the case."
After saying that, Anton lit a cigarette and murmured, "They're just a headache that needs to be completely eradicated, a problem that, if left as it is, doesn't need my attention."
The disdain in Anton's voice was something even a creature like the emotionless parasite could perceive. It could see a predator hidden within Anton that was uncontrollable.
Anton, now face-to-face with a parasite, felt no threat. At least for him, eliminating these things wouldn't be a big problem, but it could bring great benefits.
Just as Anton was about to talk more with the parasite, hurried footsteps were heard behind him, and before he could see who it was, a commanding voice said, "Raise your hands very slowly unless you want me to blow your head off."
"Come on, miss; we're on the same side." Anton looked at where the voice came from and smiled when he saw that it was the woman who had let the parasite escape.
Choi, the head of parasite elimination operations, looked at Anton and asked, "Who the hell are you?"
"You don't want to know." Anton smiled slightly, and at that moment, several figures jumped from the other building, landing on the rooftop where they were. They all held double-barreled shotguns, one in each hand, and aimed at the woman behind them.
"What are your orders, Cardinal of the Light?"
Anton showed a calm expression and said, "Relax. Ms. Choi seems to be confused about who we are, but those doubts will be resolved when she knows who we are."
"What the hell?" Choi was even more nervous. Obviously, these people who had just jumped were not normal, much less the man who had subdued a parasite with his own hands.
She was desperate. For some reason, she believed that the people in front of her were not humans. But when she heard that Anton was a cardinal, it all made sense.
At the same time, Alexander, who had appeared behind, walked with agents under Choi's orders and said, "We introduce ourselves; we are the Light Association, and we will be in charge from this moment on."
