"Zz… Target eliminated, proceeding to investigate the downed ship."
Anton ventured further into the forest after leaving a geolocation at the site where he had killed the predator. Soon, he saw the crashed spaceship. In the same area, members of the S.C.G. were controlling the zone as instructed.
"Any updates?" Anton approached, seeking answers about the current progress of the mission.
Alexander, who was in the area, immediately greeted Anton and said, "We have neutralized two of what we believe to be enemy trackers. Based on their size and build, we know they are not from any of the dark entities stored in the system."
From what Anton could see, this ship had taken a hit to one of its thrusters. It had been transporting the Predator, who, knowing the ship could explode, had ejected in an escape pod.
"We found this ship's pod in Mexico. Have you found anything else besides this?" Anton walked towards the interior of the ship, where two people were stationed at the entrance.
Alexander stepped forward and said, "We found what we believe to be the valuable object this predator was transporting. If we think it was being pursued for something, we could say it was for this object."
Anton approached and saw two wristbands longer than the standard Predator ones, along with what appeared to be a black ball of matter.
"Send them to our scientists. No one else should touch these things with bare hands." Anton knew this was likely a much more advanced technology than others.
"Understood, Guardian."
Anton carefully supervised the loose material being transported for investigation, but he knew the ship couldn't be moved. He was analyzing the site to create a technological research and development center.
Though he wasn't very knowledgeable about technology, Casey, a scientist, seemed very interested in all this alien technology, so he was thinking of leaving all this work to her.
Additionally, now with two predators dead, he had to consider a more optimal way to eliminate them, which would involve analyzing the quickest way to harm them.
Battles of honor might be something the enemy sought, but certainly it wasn't something he liked much, no matter how much he thought about it for someone else.
"You know what's most curious? These creatures surpass us hundreds of times in technology. They are what we have dreamed of being, but they don't depend on technology. The Predators have the technology, but they aren't dependent on it; they don't rule or conquer. I'm afraid that solving their problems with brute force is the only way they could really enter the world."
But that was changing, and humans needed to prepare for an alien invasion if it were to happen in the future.
Alexander knew how strong the predators were. He had seen one alone eliminate more than thirty combat-trained soldiers with real experience. This not only told him that their combat strategy had to evolve but also improve.
"How did the newcomers do?" Anton looked at the agents under Alexander's command and asked.
Alexander looked at the young ones and said, "Quite well. John trained them very well, so there were no problems with them."
"We need to improve our weaponry. The things we will face later are more lethal than the predators due to their abnormal method of fighting." Anton thought of the parasites.
"That's why the exams are conducted every fourteen hours. Many complain, but everyone finds it convenient."
Once the helicopters arrived, a special team disembarked to maintain a perimeter to secure this ship and the other one found in the air.
Everything seemed to be going well, so Anton returned to the village to finalize things.
"Zz… Are you alright?"
Anton looked at the blood on his clothes and said, "No problem, let's move on."
