"Can I help you with something?"
Anton halted his movements upon hearing a female voice behind him. He turned very slowly, keeping his weapon concealed to avoid raising suspicions.
"You must be Sergeant Quinn McKenna's wife. Is your name Casey?" Anton was greeted with a friendly smile upon seeing the woman who had appeared in the residents' files of this house.
Casey looked at the man standing at her door with a strange expression, but those concerns faded when she realized he was a priest. "My husband never mentioned having a priest friend."
Anton smiled and said, "He probably doesn't know. It's something very recent."
"Making hasty decisions can lead to the most disastrous results. I hope you don't regret it." Casey felt strange in front of Anton. How did he become a priest with those scars on his face?
"You don't know this, but my friend mistakenly sent a package to this house instead of mine, and I believe it's inside. Could you please check for me?" Anton put away his weapon, as it wasn't necessary.
Casey felt even more confused this time. "Are you telling me your friend mistakenly sent a package to my husband's house instead of yours?"
"Exchanged packages, it's not very hard to think about." Akira approached from the other side of the house while holding a cardboard box.
Casey looked at Anton and then at Akira. She noticed some tattoos on the woman's hands, making this even more bizarre.
"Wait here. I'll check it out myself." Casey wouldn't let two strangers into her house with her child inside.
Anton smiled slightly. He really didn't want things to escalate, but there was no time. "Was it the appearance of my fiancée or the mention of the package that triggered your distrust?"
"What?" Casey stepped back upon hearing these words.
Akira approached while showing a knife under her coat and said, "We have many reasons to believe that your family is in danger because they have classified items. We'll have to enter to verify it as soon as possible."
"I would listen to her. My fiancée is very good with knives." Anton took a serious look at it.
Casey didn't know what to do; she was confused but still remained serious. "If you promise not to harm my son, you can enter my house. We have nothing to do with whatever has arrived here by mistake."
"Of course not. Your husband involved you in this situation, but we'll sort everything out, so there's no need to panic." Anton stepped aside for Casey to open the door.
Akira looked at the woman and said, "She has a good character. We must be cautious."
"In a military house, there should be weapons everywhere, so there's a reason to be alert." Anton agreed with this.
"I'll take care of it."
Anton entered the house, a modest home that he had no intention of damaging. He said, "Where is your son?"
"He's probably in the basement." Casey sat on a couch as ordered by Akira, and shortly after, he was tied up.
"I'll check downstairs. Stay here."
"Understood."
"If you touch my son, I'll kill you. And if I don't, my husband will." Casey gritted her teeth in frustration as she watched Anton go down the stairs.
Akira sat in front of Casey and said, "You probably don't believe it, but we're the good guys. Of course, drastic decisions are made in difficult times, but it's what must be done in our situation."
"Do you know where my husband is?"
"He's being transferred to a prison; they're going to blame him for the deaths of his men and keep all this hidden. But if you help us, we can get him out." Akira had read Quinn's updated file; she knew exactly what would happen to him, but they could also prevent it.
"What exactly are you looking for?"
"Weapons. That's all you need to know."
"We don't have any weapons."
Akira smiled and said, "We'll see about that. By the way, those Halloween candies you give out are very few. But if we find what we're looking for, we'll cancel that event in this community."
