Anton had changed into a new suit that had been sent to him, as his previous exorcist priest outfit had become obsolete with the cutting-edge technologies integrated into this new suit.
This suit now not only had an optimal camouflage system but also bullet impact defenses, which had increased to the point that even anti-tank bullets couldn't penetrate the armor.
The wristbands were the best weapon Anton had used. They not only released a heavy dagger that pierced even the hardest metal but also launched small bombs that could destroy many things larger than werewolves.
"Shouldn't we have a special elimination team if I encounter that predator?" Anton thought at first, but after much contemplation, he believed it was optimal to think there was nothing more here.
…
Anton looked at the real-time map to know more precisely where to search. After compressing the emitted signals, he found that the exact location was a housing complex.
"This is the route. Get your gear, and we'll leave as soon as possible." Anton took his rifle from among the equipment and walked towards the back seats of the truck.
Akira took her bow and arrows, looked at Anton strangely holding that anti-tank sniper, and asked, "Are we expecting enemy contact?"
"Yes, exactly. They are aliens."
"Are you serious?"
"Those things emitting the signals we've detected have been here before. The first confirmed appearance was in 1987. Soldier Duch was the only survivor of his entire squad." Anton showed her the classified images that the Light Association had obtained.
Recently, an alien ship crashed into the Earth. This ship had much more technology than they had seen before, which was favorable in a way. All the technological advancements they had were because of the things that visited Earth. It would take time to decipher, but it wasn't impossible.
"Did you know about this?" Akira was stunned to see that aliens existed beyond the parasites that had recently come to Earth.
Anton shook his head. He had found out recently from his father, and as far as he knew, all of this was classified. "This is one of my father's secrets. He didn't think it was necessary for me to worry about something that wasn't a threat."
"Those things aren't a threat?"
"In the scale of predator appearances, those who analyze all this realize that they actually send the weakest ones. They are here for some kind of training, so they leave as soon as it's over and if they survive."
Akira understood that secrets existed, but this was something that shouldn't be hidden. "So, we're looking for the missing objects from what came off the ship?"
"Something like that. Let's find what's emitting the signal, and we must be careful in case that thing has any other friends." Anton looked at this quiet town and would truly regret it if things got a bit hectic.
He knew perfectly well that things could go wrong in many ways, but as long as they found that object, there wouldn't be any problems finding more of them.
"Those predators aren't related to the parasites?" Akira asked after a while.
Anton thought about it and said, "It wouldn't make sense. They consider us a weak race, so there's no reason they would do this now and not before."
"Maybe they consider us a threat now."
"You're overthinking things."
There wasn't a connection between the two species. It was unlikely they were related, but they should at least be aware of what Akira had just said.
As they walked through the houses, Anton held a meter in his hand. The meter emitted intense sounds, and eventually they stopped in front of a house with higher-frequency measurements.
"Is this the house?"
"It is. Enter through the back, and I'll take care of the front." Anton attached a silencer to a small-caliber pistol and rang the doorbell.
It was past noon, so perhaps no one was home.
"The students should have been out of school for a while now. At least the child should be home." Akira looked at the files of those who lived in this house.
Anton knew there was someone from the special forces currently holding He would deal with that later, but now he seriously needed to get into the house.
