Anton looked at Rafael and asked with some confusion, "Is this more important than this?"
"A disaster-class alert; you need to know about it as soon as possible to take action in your area of authority." Rafael didn't pay attention to the other people in the room and handed Anton a detailed report.
"Was it sent just now?"
"About thirty minutes ago. The South Korean government has taken charge of suppressing the news, but the situation is serious." Rafael glanced at a video showing a creature with enormous tentacles emerging from its head, massacring hundreds of people at what seemed to be a concert.
Anton stood up, buttoned his jacket, and, addressing the people in the room directly, said, "Well, gentlemen, you will be treated and eventually returned to your families. Do not cause trouble; cooperate with us, and we will both be where we want to be in a few days."
"Wait, what were those things? Do demons really exist?" Luke asked nervously. But by the time he asked that question, Anton had already left the room.
Outside the room, Anton asked, "Do you know where these dark entities come from?"
"They are estimated to come from space. We have dubious data to point to that, but we do know one thing: they do not belong to our planet," Rafael reported while guiding Anton and the others to what appeared to be a meeting room.
Anton looked at Rafael and pointed out, "So it doesn't fit the characteristics of a dark entity. Shouldn't this case be directly associated with the hunters?"
"It should, but you have been selected as the commander-in-chief to face these things." Rafael made it very clear that Anton would be giving the orders to the hunters, which wasn't very good.
Anton, with all his experience eliminating dark entities, knew that dealing with vampire hunters and their fangs, hunters focusing on various dark entities, and those obsessed with werewolves was not easy. They were all a bit crazy, using military weaponry in their operations, which compromised discretion.
Moreover, they had a code of not trusting the exorcist priests, who had often taken jobs they were about to complete just for money.
"A damn disaster..." Anton shook his head but couldn't get too upset as they were just a few meters away from the meeting room.
When Anton entered, there were some familiar faces, one of which was Dean, who was with his brother.
"Is that the boring exorcist who will lead the hunting operation?" Dean stood up as soon as he saw Anton, a big smile forming on his face.
Anton looked at him with some surprise and asked, "I thought you worked alone. Didn't the studies work out with your brother?"
Sam stood up to greet Anton and simply said, "It's also nice to see you again. I've heard a lot about your great feats, so after this meeting, we should have a coffee."
"I prefer a drink." Anton walked over to an empty seat and sat down.
"Me too." Dean walked, looking strangely at the various people in the room.
"Well, now that everyone is here, I'll start the meeting." A disaster specialist stood up to begin the meeting, which was of utmost importance despite the cheerful mood among the people.
"They are known as parasites."
Anton looked at a horrendous humanoid creature with large tentacles on its head. All of them extended out, their large tentacles having sharp blades that seemed to cut through metal like butter.
"Interesting..."
The disaster specialist started the video and said, "We have detected thousands of similar cases where the parasite successfully invades the human brain, but some have managed to escape. Fortunately, a Japanese scientist has categorized all these events as caused by a parasite."
"How can you be so sure?" Dean asked curiously.
"Yes, from what I see, it's impossible for a human parasite to cause that."
Anton smiled and said, "You're right. Until now, parasites hadn't been able to control humans, but they have controlled other creatures."
"The primary function of a parasite when invading a living organism is to obtain resources and energy for its own survival and reproduction. Parasites rely completely on the host for nutrients and a suitable environment for reproduction."
"By invading a living organism, parasites can feed on the host's tissues, such as blood, cells, or nutrients in the intestine. In this case, as is evident, they eat the brain."
Anton took control to manipulate the image and said, "The primary function of a parasite when invading a living organism is to ensure its survival and reproduction, using the host's resources for these purposes. As far as science knows, there are three types: protozoa, which are unicellular organisms that can infect different parts of the human body, such as the intestine, nervous system, or urinary tract."
"Helminths are multicellular parasitic worms that can live in the intestine, lungs, subcutaneous tissues, and other parts of the human body. The most common helminths include pinworms, roundworms, tapeworms, and filarial worms."
Everyone listened in silence as Anton explained, "Ectoparasites, on the other hand, are organisms that live on the surface of the human body, such as the skin or hair, and feed on the host's blood or other tissues."
"To classify these things as aliens, we must consider what they do, their purpose, and obviously their nature." Anton knew that if these things were aliens, they were here to exterminate the world; these parasites had come to prepare the world for another dominant species.
If this is correct, we would be facing the greatest worldwide catastrophe coming from outside this world. As if that weren't enough, now they were being invaded by damned aliens.
"Now that everyone knows about science, let me explain in detail the behavior of these parasites that we have classified as aliens." The disaster specialist looked at everyone deeply and prepared to explain in detail what they knew so far.
