"Zz… Don't leave anyone alive."
Those who had fallen to the ground from the explosion stood up again. Those who were not immediately stunned covered the others, taking a step forward to clear all the infected.
"I need a round of grenades in that hallway; there are too many, so we must eliminate them all at once!"
Alexander quickly grabbed three grenades and, after removing the safety, threw them.
"Everyone, take cover!"
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The explosions killed many infected, but they drew the complete attention of everyone in the building.
At that moment, Anton, who was reloading his shotgun, felt a huge presence behind him. As he was about to turn around, a massive hand lifted him off the ground and threw him towards the door of an apartment.
Although Anton was about to counterattack, he didn't panic and first let himself fall to the ground. Looking around, Anton spotted a child with red eyes, so without hesitation, he raised his pistol and aimed to eliminate him first.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The speed of the infected child was fast, but none were faster than a bullet unless they were a vampire.
"Damn it!" Anton growled as he saw a figure appear behind him and jump on top of him.
He needed to get out of here, but at that moment, the infected person in front of him took a step towards him with the intention of throwing him once again.
Anton knew that given the circumstances, he had to be a bit more decisive, so he unleashed his control of darkness, and several blades flew quickly, decapitating all the infected in the room.
"You need more than this to eliminate me; you cursed the demon." Anton stood up and looked at all the corpses of the infected before moving forward.
Understanding the circumstances of this building, there was no other culprit than the Vatican, but their enemies were all evil that appeared on this earth. Knowing that the culprits were dead, he now had to end this.
However, Anton would not forget this incident.
He knew from experience that no one is good; everyone moves solely for money and emotions like lust. When those two things are involved, most of the time it ends in tragedy.
Humans are inherently evil; this is how they have come to live. So, as humans, they must take responsibility for the same evil that comes to deliver justice.
All of this would be acceptable if they didn't go after the innocent. What child is equal to an adult in terms of sins? Regardless of the reasons for evil, they should not go after those who truly do not deserve it.
"Archbishop Guardian, all enemies have been eliminated."
Anton looked down the hallway, where there were at least fifty corpses of infected people, and, not understanding where so many had come from, nodded. "Seal the cleared rooms, and let's go up to the upper floors."
There should be no victims left; they did not incinerate the bodies because this building would catch fire, and that was a bad idea. But returning to the main objective, he needed to be sure that no one was left before completing the mission.
After killing dozens of infected people, he felt that if this got out of this building, the entire city, maybe the entire country, would be very seriously damaged before the army took control.
"The martial law was a good idea." Anton looked at all the blood with a slight glance but focused on the mission ahead.
After reaching the top floor, Anton noticed that everything was incredibly quiet, which puzzled him greatly.
"Where do you think they are?" Alexander approached Rafael with a lot of nervousness.
Rafael had no answer to this question, so looking at the air ducts, he thought of something. "Everyone, look up!"
Half of the light agents aimed their weapons at the ceiling, expecting the worst.
"We have a target behind us!"
"Arghhhh!"
The horrifying appearance of these people was worse than what happened in the previous town; at least, those who were there could assure that with total certainty.
"Fire!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
But they couldn't face these skilled agents trained to eliminate dangerous dark entities with their abilities. With the necessary equipment, these infected were not a danger to them.
"Clear the rooms and seal them; watch your heads; and be ready for any kind of ambush," Anton said before walking towards a room.
"Understood!"
