Chereads / Priest, Pray For Us / Chapter 56 - It's a Job

Chapter 56 - It's a Job

Now, this group of highly trained men and women, or rather, collectively referred to as special agents of the Association of Light, have the necessary requirements to face corporeal dark entities, field research, and highly complex mission supervision.

At that moment, Anton looked at Rafael and said, "We need to explain the second part."

Rafael nodded and pressed a button, lighting up a huge screen next to Anton.

"Right now, you are considered a special force for eliminating dark entities. All your information will be encrypted and encoded. Your public role is to serve the country as a regular agent of a privately approved research institution by world governments. That's how we appear to the public and to those who question our work." Anton, after saying this, signaled to display a series of faces on the screen.

"These individuals were highly experienced in eliminating dark entities. Weeks ago, an experienced priest led a raid in which they were misinformed. That small piece of wrong information led to the entire team being eliminated." Anton showed no signs of sadness. Instead, he looked at the agents before him with total authority.

Seeing the faces of all the fallen agents, countless people in the crowd were shocked. It was very possible that, with a stroke of bad luck and just one mistake, they could be the next casualties in battle.

"For the families of these agents, they died saving the country; for us, they are warriors who held the banner high. They showed us that it doesn't take much to defend our human side. They taught me that my duty is to protect your friends, your children, and your parents." Anton roared with a powerful voice, "Our duty is to protect the future of our families, the future of your families, and the future of the next generations."

Instinctively, everyone felt a burning fire in their chests, gazing at the faces of the soldiers on the screen with nothing but respect.

"You have the opportunity to protect your family, friends, and young people with beautiful aspirations. The Association of Light will extend the time entities remain hidden from the public." Anton didn't say they would avoid showing dark entities to the public, as that dream was highly unlikely to happen. Eventually, people would find out that there was something else in the world devouring them slowly. "And for that, we need to eliminate anything that is no longer human, regardless of whether it hides under the skin of a small child."

The new members of the new branch of the Association of Light were not as confused by Anton's words. Many of them, though few, had previously had contact with some dark entity. Some had even been fortunate enough to eliminate a dark entity, approaching the situation with a prepared mind.

"I've been a little lucky to survive until now, just as I am lucky to be a Guardian Bishop with abilities beyond human comprehension." Anton thought to himself and looked silently at everyone.

"Each of you will have a credential where you can access highly classified information, videos about dark entities, raids, and the latest in weaponry." Paul pointed to the screen and showed unique content.

"There are six different levels of dark entities. Personally, I have faced dark entities of type 4. From my experience, I must say, do not underestimate dark entities. If the monster, demon, or evil spirit has human skin, you must follow the orders given." Anton touched the purple cross on his chest and said, "Anyone who disobeys orders will only face a painful death."

"Now, you will all be monitored by special groups such as logistics departments, monitoring, and the Eye of God, which is what sees everything in this world. They all work together to provide special information to the Association of Light and, above all, to maintain the confidentiality of the information shown to you today."

After hearing Anton's words, everyone understood what it was about. If any of them leak information to a third party, they will be discovered within seconds. Making it clear that no violation of secrecy would be allowed.

"Chief Priest..." Another person in the crowd raised their hand and asked, "Since we are a secret force of the Association of Light under your command, what kind of weaponry will we use? We couldn't fight those monsters with the standard equipment of a soldier, could we?"

"Well, that's a good question." Anton responded promptly but looked at Rafael and said, "First, get them into uniforms; make the preparations; it's almost time."

After speaking, Anton left the conference room, leaving behind a group of very bewildered people.

Rafael made a standard military salute, took a deep breath, and shouted loudly to all the present soldiers, "What are you still sitting there for? Get your asses off the seats right now! Did you hear what the captain said? Now all of you are agents of the Association of Light! Now, get out of here and get your uniforms."

"Quick!"

Rafael's roar scared the entire Association of Light group of thoughtful minds. They instinctively stood up and gave a military salute, responding loudly, "Yes, sir!"

...

While Anton headed to a special room for hand-to-hand combat training, his thoughts continued to revolve around future problems.

Firstly, he deeply believed that normal people should know about dark entities, and on the other hand, he wanted to keep everything a secret.

"Would it be safe to reveal the existence of dark entities in the future?" Anton thought to himself, analyzing the possibility of such a situation.

Worldwide, it would be very difficult to keep all the events that involve eliminating a dark entity under wraps. Therefore, it was evident that it was only a matter of time before the bomb exploded.

However, none of the governments were prepared for situations like the ones they were recently facing with dark entities.

Until recently, logistics departments unrelated to the Association of Light were responsible for tracking dark entities and providing logistics information to a special group for dark entity elimination raids.

As everything happened suddenly, they didn't have the necessary resources to keep up with the speed at which dark entities appeared. But now everything was different—the Association of Light was responsible for logistics and elimination, and the Eye of God, the largest monitoring weapon in the world owned only by the Association, would monitor the members to ensure none leaked confidential information.

The moment a soldier belonging to the Association of Light leaked information, it would be considered treason and eventually result in the worst possible form of murder.

"This is exhausting..."

All Anton could do now was keep his work in order. As the general captain of the Association of Light headquarters in this city, his role was to lead dark entities that only roamed the heart of the city.

According to the information he received, different departments in cities would open special Association of Light departments to keep the entire country safe. Therefore, unless something extraordinary happened, numerous ex-soldiers and policemen would be transferred to the Association of Light departments, increasing the country's security.

Looking at the information on the smart tablet, Anton looked at the different names of the teams that made up his unit.

Special Rapid Reaction Forces: Agents of Light—this is a secret special unit for eliminating dark entities that arise around the world. Each member is a specialist in something specific, making this command a perfect team for eliminating monsters.

The teams that make up each base are five: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, and Reserve. Each team is formed by twenty elite members specializing in different fields. All Base members are led by a Guardian Bishop.

This information is easily accessible as long as you belong to the Association of Light Units.

"Guardian! Mr. Rafael is waiting for you in the training room; the team you requested previously is already in the room." A logistics agent greeted Anton and shared the information.

"Good, let's get started." Anton responded indifferently and walked towards the training room.
