Chapter 29 - CH029

The exam was getting closer and the atmosphere at school was starting to change. Even someone like Fatty Tang was putting in some effort.

But all that had nothing to do with Lu Fan. It could be said that he was the most free individual in the whole school. Even An Xing'er who was sure to perform exceptionally was busy revising.

Lu Fan on the other hand was busy writing his curriculum. He had already started procedures to open the school under his mother's name and it was going splendidly.

The community had already seen her as a benefactor, especially given that her involvement with the Boxed Lunches had given hundreds of women jobs and even some youth who were idling by jobs delivering the food.

It had become a very big thing that even the city government had recognized.

Lu Fan did not need to do much to get his school approved. This was especially true when all he was going to teach were technical skills that did not need an examination board to oversee. At least that was what would be happening at this stage.

After getting the required permits, Lu Fan left the acquisition of a suitable venue to Li Lin. This girl had a talent for choosing locations and drawing in talent. She was also responsible for hiring teachers.

Lu Fan was currently drawing the outline of what was to be taught as most of the teachers that Li Lin was going to pull in did not have any experience teaching.

He had asked her to look for chefs and the like. Catering had a lot of talent and Lu Fan was ready to pay big money to acquire Michelin chefs. It would be easier to explain how students were getting better if the teachers were high quality.

"This should be enough."

Lu Fan stretched feeling that his body had become sour from staying in the same position for so long as he looked around only to see everybody busy cramming.

"Seems like they are starting to feel the pressure. The perfect time for the educational platform to go online."

The surveys had already gone on for three weeks and they had become quite popular online. Just answering some questions to earn money was the perfect source of income for most people who did not have time to do other things.

He had initially prepared to release an incomplete platform and fix everything as time went by, but he had underestimated the enthusiasm of netizens.

Lu Fan was even forced to start collecting data on University Courses because high school subjects were no longer enough to sustain the market.

The only thing that he had a problem with now was that the algorithm was developing faster than he had predicted. It was not a bad thing, but it was starting to become too eye-catching.

The speed at which the surveys and the data collection were being handled surprised the server-end providers that he had been using. Amazon servers had even lowered their prices so that he could continue using their servers and Lu Fan could only guess that they were hoping to learn how he was dealing with so much traffic at the same time.

But there was nothing to hide. Even if Lu Fan uploaded the core program to the cloud and told the whole world that this was it, they would still not be able to do anything about it. Maybe just copy it and use it as it were. But they could forget about changing it or customizing it to fit their needs. This was the beauty of Blockchains.

As for it causing trouble, Lu Fan did not worry about it. One of the courses in his school was precisely this and if anyone wanted to learn it, they could come and he would personally make sure that they understood exactly what was going on.

That aside, Lu Fan had met a problem. It was actually something that he had always noticed but ignored but he could no longer put it off.

His body was having a hard time keeping up with him even when he was at the peak of his youth.

The accumulated fatigue seemed to be catching up to him and it was affecting his normal operation.

"I'll have to renovate the fifth floor again."

An Xing'er was no longer using his studio as much as when he was teaching her the basics, she had grown to become a pro in entertainment matters and she had become the backbone of the Fashion and Design division of META.

It was quite funny actually. Lu Fan had sent her there to learn about fashion and how to handle herself as a celebrity, but it somehow turned into her being the face of the whole division.

Maybe it was because she had turned the whole division into her personal film crew, but at least they made more money now than they ever did before. Just have An Xing'er wear an article in one of her videos and the sales would go through the roof in the next ten minutes.

This was the true power of online influencers… and Lu Fan's unique way of selling things online through other platforms but still managing not to go against their terms and conditions.

And what platform would dare to ban An Xing'er? She was the light of the nation. Her mere presence or absence could greatly influence the traffic of a platform and Lu Fan was using that to the fullest.

The fact that she was not taking any advertisement jobs and endorsements also made her a rare gem. The more Lu Fan refused these corporate agents, the more they were willing to pay to have her endorse a product.

META was benefiting a lot from that too. An Xing'er had only ever mentioned META and how they taught her, how they helped her, and all that. This alone had increased Li Lin's work ten times.

Lu Fan had to create a commercial studio after that and have An Xing'er handle it. It was not wrong to say that META had turned into a full-fledged talent agency with a terrifying online presence. And the momentum was still strong.
