The fight was over almost as quickly as it had started.
One of the bouncers, with arms like tree trunks, stormed through the crowd and grabbed Abel's opponent by the collar, yanking him backward before Abel even had a chance to land another punch.
Another bouncer latched onto Abel's arm, pulling him away from the skirmish, his grip firm but not overly harsh.
"Out," the bouncer growled, his voice barely audible over the pulsing music.
Behind him, Abel could hear Jason yelling and struggling as he too was being pulled through the crowd.
"Let go of me... those motherfuckers started it!" Jason shouted.
Within seconds, both of them were hauled toward the exit like two unwanted trash bags.
The cold night air hit Abel like a slap to the face as they were dumped outside, the club door slamming shut behind them.
