Abel woke up feeling like some Vikings were beating the crap out of their war drums inside his freaking head.
"Ugh," he moaned, clutching his throbbing head.
"Welcome to the club, bro," someone said.
Abel looked up to see Jason holding a glass of water and some painkillers in his hand.
'Bless the guy's thoughtfulness' , he thought as he reached for them.
He gulped it all down, feeling as if he hadn't drunk water in a decade.
The cold liquid trickling down his throat felt like the best thing in the world.
In a short while, the throbbing began to ease off.
"What the fuck happened?" Abel asked, looking around.
It wasn't the fact that he was in Jason's hotel room that confused him—he had, after all, asked him to let him crash here until he got some furnishings in his new apartment.
