Chapter 11 - One Room Two Adults

----

As soon as I looked outside. There wasn't a single light along the way, all I could see were the silhouettes of things in the distance that looked like iron fences and shady trees from the direction of the forest. The mansion Was so grand, it seemed strange that he hadn't made any lights out here.

"Why is it so dark out here? at least make one lighting in the front of the gate!" I turned around and complained to Darius.

"Why should it be? We still good in the dark" he said.

"Right, you're a Lycan, you can see even in the dark" I murmured

" But still, you're rich enough to at least make one streetlight!"

Darius frowned, "Well, that's true but we don't."

With a mansion this dark and also this big I guess it would look more conspicuous, people would think that this place is haunted.

'This stupid jerk!'

I put that thought aside and chose to reconsider the current situation, looking at the redwood forest that was so pitch black, that I didn't dare to go there. Even though I'm a former scout girl, without lighting or fire it's hard to see in the forest and darkness.

I asked Darius if he had a torch or matches, but he didn't listen to me and just carried me roughly into inside the mansion.

"Fine! if you want me to stay that badly. But you should give me an empty room to sleep in by myself."

Darius again refused. He said he had no problem sharing a room with me at this time of urgency. But I also refused his opinion, considering there were many empty rooms in the mansion.

"What kind of woman do you think I am? Sleep with a guy you just met? Hell no!"

"Look, I have a condition where I can't stay with other people in this mansion, every day I take turns sleeping in seven different rooms and I don't want the scent of other people in my room to be left behind."

"Then what's the difference between me sleeping in the room you're sleeping in, and sleeping in another room?"

Darius sighed heavily and wrinkled his forehead "I hate the thought of someone else occupying my room, the thought of human scent clinging to every fiber of fabric, in every corner of the room. It drives me crazy"

"At least I can keep an eye on you if we sleep in the same room. This is my mansion, after all, you're just a guest."

I couldn't believe that the phrase sleeping in the same room could be thrown out so easily with her cold expression,

'What a lecherous man!'

"You're the worst host I've ever met!"

Darius laughed sarcastically. His sharp eyes gave off an intimidating look. His burly hand patted my shoulder gently as he brought his face close to my ear.

"I don't want to ruin your fantasy, but let me tell you..."

" You're not my type, I don't even have the slightest intention of touching you."

"I don't care if you're interested in me or not, I just want a guarantee that you won't do anything weird during my stay!" I replied.

"Honestly, I don't see any guarantee from the words that come out of your mouth, especially when there are only two of us in this mansion"

Darius squints his eyes " What a demanding guest you're."

"Remember, I have saved you several times, is that not enough?"

"Don't you remember what you did at our first meeting?" I replied sharply.

"Alright. You're win missy. Here, take this!"

Darius tossed me a small dagger made of titanium decorated with red gemstones. Although it was small, the dagger was very sharp and could easily cut anything that hit the blade.

"You want me to kill you with this dagger?"

"Almost right" Darius crossed his burly arms over his chest.

"Use this dagger if anything you don't want to happen while you sleep, it can be used when I'm in human form, but it's useless when I'm in werewolf form."

"Then, what should I do if you turn into a werewolf?"

"Well…This dagger will turn into a chain that you can use if I turn into a werewolf."

Darius recounted an incident that occurred several months ago in which his servant, Evan, brought a witch into the mansion. Darius can't control his transformation, leading to the death and severe injury of many of Darius's people.

Following the incident, the witch created a dagger as a 'calming' agent after successfully pacifying Darius.

"Why don't you just make a dagger made of silver? It's more practical than having to cast spells, isn't it?" I give the dagger back to him

"Girl, Shut up! just take it! this is the only dagger currently available right now " he insist, but I give it back again.

*Exhale*

"I'll give you a short spell. I hate this method because it tortures me a lot. But it's the best way to prevent corpses in this mansion."

Then Darius wrote down the spell he remembered on a note app on his mobile phone. He then told me to memorize the spell within three minutes.

This crazy man, pointing at his super-bright mobile phone. He was doing a countdown.

I found it hard to concentrate because of three things. Firstly, the super bright screen was making my eyes sore and dry. This guy wasn't even that old to be using a mobile phone with such bright lighting.

Secondly, he was looking at me with a very sharp gaze. I can still feel his gaze, as it pierces through this super bright mobile phone screen as it focuses on his mobile phone screen.

Lastly, this bastard wrote the spell in anagram! But the most I hate from it is that I can solve the anagram faster and easiest, even though I've never learned the deep concept of an anagram.

"Shit!"

Darius started counting down, I felt my adrenaline rush and my nerves tighten, it felt like my brain was on fire.

"Stop!"

"What? how could you write the spell in anagram?"

"But you can read it well, right? It's no big deal."

"But you can read it well, right? Are you joking?" I mocked him madly.

Darius unceremoniously threw the dagger at me. I, who was surprised by his spontane action, reflexively caught the dagger that had bounced quite high towards my back in the air.

"Hurry up and get in, I'll take you home tomorrow."

Darius opened the door to his room and held the door open so that I could go inside. I wasn't too aware of this room before, considering I fell asleep and realized I was already there.

A minimalist room with monochrome furniture dominating. The room looked quite classic and spacious for a grown man's room. It was a stark contrast to my current room, which was feminine and cramped.

Darius immediately entered the room while I was still busy marveling at the masculine feel of his room. From the pocket of his formal trousers, he took out a small remote.

He pressed one of the buttons so that the remote piped, and soon the leather sofa in front of his bed was transformed into a single folding bed.

"Wow! This is even more sophisticated than my sofa when I lived in the penthouse"

"You haven't seen anything else" he added

The, Darius pressed another button on the remote. Soon, the roof of his room opened and turned into a transparent anti-UV glass roof. The starry night sky was visible there.

Although this mansion looks older than my parent's house, who would have thought that the technology inside is so advanced that I am speechless?

"You sleep on the sofa, good night" Darius tossed me his pillow and concluded as he went to his big bed.

"Is that how he treats women?" I grumbled as I went to the sofa.

As I reclined on the sofa, covered by a khaki blanket, my thoughts drifted to Bong. Could Susan find him? Is she already okay?

Would she find bong? Or is that bong who find her first? Who would feed him during my absence?

The peaceful atmosphere of the room, the glittering stars, and the cool air of the air conditioner provided a calming comfort for my body. My eyes grew heavy, and my memory faded thereafter.

My body felt weighed down, and my breathing strained as if something pressed upon me.

Faintly, I could detect heavy panting, gasping and I can feel the rising temperature around my body. A liquid dripped upon my face. Feeling disquieted, I began to open my eyes slowly.

"Darius!"
