Staying with Caesar was for the best, she would feel more at ease that way.
Taking a deep breath, Adeline lifted her head to meet Caesar's gaze. He was right there on the bed, staring down at her.
"Come," Caesar said to her, grabbing her hand to pull her up and lift her into his arms in a bridal style.
Adeline circled her arms around his neck as he turned around, leaving the room. They left the ward, and as he walked back to his mansion, he could very well sense every single member of that pack gazing from within their houses.
They weren't brave enough to step out and directly look at him, at least not after what had happened. He'd unintentionally instilled so much fear in them, which he didn't regret one bit.
They deserved what he did to them, and if he were to be given another chance, he would be sure to repeat it.
Walking through the opened door, he took the elevator up to the second floor and made his way to his master bedroom.
