"Nonsense?" Hearing this, Louis sneered coldly twice.
"People at school have already seen it - you were holding a bouquet of roses when you got out of Tony's car. Doesn't that mean you two are together?"
Edith finally realized Louis had misunderstood this time.
But she no longer had the patience to continue explaining to Louis.
"What does it have to do with you? You should spend this time taking better care of yourself instead of always meddling in other people's affairs!"
After saying this, Edith wanted to turn and leave.
However, Louis forcefully grabbed her.
"Why are they all okay, but I'm not?"
Louis's pestering and clinginess made Edith feel flustered. She angrily said, "What do you mean by that?"
"Clearly we two are the most perfectly matched!"
After saying this, Louis moved a bit closer to Edith in an inconspicuous way.
Edith immediately became alert and backed away.
But he didn't give her any chance to escape, moving closer and closer.
Louis was actually intending to rape Edith in order to get her - Edith suddenly realized this.
After discovering Louis's intentions, Edith was momentarily panicked.
But she quickly regained her composure.
While using her phone to send a distress message, Edith began to pretend to go along with it.
"You wait a moment."
Louis, red-eyed, said "What else is there to wait for? If you wait any longer, you won't belong to me!"
Edith hurriedly shook her head, "That's not what I meant!"
"That's not what you meant? Sharon has already told me. Everyone outside is talking about it - you've been involved with Alston and Tony!"
Sharon?
Hearing this name, Edith's expression immediately darkened.
She understood Sharon must be stirring up trouble between them.
In that case, it's no wonder she retaliated!
"I'll say it again, I have no relationship whatsoever with Alston and Tony. Sharon has tricked you!"
Hearing this, Louis looked completely doubtful, "Impossible!"
Edith sneered twice, "How is it impossible? You've known me for a long time too. Do I look like someone who would have a foot in two boats?"
After hearing this, Louis hesitated for a moment.
After Sharon told him this, the anger inside devoured his rationality.
To the point that he didn't even consider the actual facts of the matter.
Now hearing Edith's words, Louis finally felt something was amiss.
Noticing Louis's hesitation, Edith immediately said, "Can you sense Sharon has some intentions towards you? Then think about it - what consequences would telling you this have?"
Edith began to guide Louis towards realizing Sharon was intentionally driving a wedge between them.
Sure enough, Louis had indeed misunderstood.
Since this Sharon had feelings for him, it wasn't impossible she might stir up discord between the two of them.
Louis's face turned very ugly, "That bitch Sharon dared to trick me?"
Edith finally breathed a sigh of relief.
It seems Louis's rationality had cleared up.
Edith discovered Louis was preparing to use force, so she intentionally wanted to play Sharon and Louis against each other.
So she schemed against them, which instead created some enmity between Louis and Sharon.
However, just as Louis released his grip, there was suddenly a loud noise from outside the door.
Edith hurriedly turned to look and discovered Alston was standing outside.
Alston now looked anxious, no longer his usual composed self, but rather sweating profusely.
Edith was startled by Alston's appearance, then immediately took out her phone and looked at it.
Sure enough, the distress message she meant to send her close friend had accidentally been sent to Alston.
Edith immediately gasped in shock.
"Oh no, how did I end up sending the message to Alston?"
Seeing the unharmed Edith, Alston was finally slightly calmed down.
Then he noticed the tightly gripping Louis and his expression darkened further.
"What are you two doing?"
Edith now couldn't care about anything else - Alston had come to her rescue after all. So Edith immediately shouted loudly, "He wanted to..."
Before Edith could finish her words, Louis directly covered her mouth with his hand.
She struggled fiercely but couldn't break free.
Louis used his eyes to threateningly warn Edith, so she could only give up.
"You should know what should and shouldn't be said!"
Edith nodded, only then did Louis remove his hand.
Since Alston was standing far away, he didn't observe Louis's expression, only seeing him cover Edith's mouth.
Alston then came forward very worriedly, but discovered Edith's mood had strangely stabilized.
Edith knew with Alston here, Louis wouldn't do anything to her, so her mood finally calmed down.
Since Louis didn't want her to say anything, then she wouldn't cause any more trouble.
Edith took a deep breath, "It's fine!"
But Alston felt he had been made a fool of.
After all, he had run multiple red lights rushing all the way here.
Little did he know not only did Edith have no issues, but Louis was standing next to her, the two behaving intimately - leaving room for imagination.
He knew Louis had feelings for Edith.
So Alston's mood became extremely unpleasant.
"So you called me here just to let me see you and Louis together?"
Louis watching the commotion instigatively looked toward Alston, "So what if that's the case?"
How could Alston accept being treated this way?
He revealed a sinister, dark gaze, then ill-meaningly said, "Very good! You've done very well!"
Hearing Alston's threatening words, Edith couldn't help but feel a chill down her spine.
She silently wiped away the cold sweat on her brow, "I..."
Edith wanted to explain, but Alston cut her off directly.
"Since you two are bored and idle, then go find something for yourselves to do!"
Edith turned pale with shock, "What do you mean?"
