She tried to maintain her composure, but the vulnerability she had been trying to hide seeped through her mask. Her voice trembled slightly as she spoke, her words laced with pain.
"Oh, so I'm not even worth a night?" she asked, her eyes welling up with tears. "I'm just that disposable to you?"
Itzel's eyes flashed with anger, her voice taking on a venomous tone. "You know, Clinton, you're not as special as you think you are. My sister doesn't even love you. All she cares about is Nolan," she spat, her words dripping with malice.
She drew her phone from her bag, the screen displaying a picture of Paige and Nolan in a tight hug. The image looked intimate, and Itzel's eyes gleamed with triumph as she showed it to Clinton. "See? This is what she really wants. Not you."
Clinton's expression remained indifferent, his eyes narrowing slightly as he gazed at the picture. Itzel could see the cloud of pain in his eyes though his facade remained intact.
