Just as the meeting was wrapping up, a worker walked in and approached Clinton, who was seated at the head of the table. "Excuse me, Mr. Clinton," she said quietly, "but there's someone waiting for you outside. They didn't have an appointment, but they said it was urgent."
Clinton's brows furrowed in surprise. He wasn't expecting anyone, and he had a tight schedule ahead. "Who is it?" he asked the worker.
The worker hesitated before responding, "It's a man. He didn't say his name. He just asked me to say that to you. He said he needs to speak with you regarding a personal matter."
Paige, who had been engrossed in a discussion with Vicky and Sarah, didn't notice the exchange between Clinton and the worker. But as Clinton stood up to leave, she turned to him and asked, "Everything okay, Clinton?"
Clinton nodded briefly. "I'll be right back. I have to attend to something."
