The ambulance pulled up in front of the hospital, and the paramedics rushed Kayden out of the car and hurried into the hospital. Kelvin followed close behind, his heart racing with worry. His brother Clinton and Paige were right behind him, their faces etched with concern.
"Please, let her be okay," Kelvin whispered to himself as he watched the paramedics wheel Kayden into the emergency room.
The doctors and nurses quickly took over, assessing Kayden's condition and hooking her up to various machines. Kelvin paced back and forth in the waiting room, his mind racing with thoughts and questions. Clinton and Paige sat together, their faces filled with worry.
"I can't believe this is happening," Paige said, shaking her head. "Kayden is always so strong and capable."
"I know," Clinton replied, putting a comforting arm around Paige's shoulders. "But we're here for her, and we'll get through this together."
