I don't know how long I had laughed for but my face muscles were aching by the time I was done. But, it was absolutely worth it! This power would let me turn from zero to in seconds and I was already thinking of who's power to copy right away.
"I want Wang Ling's powers and experiences," I shouted excitedly, doing a pose I would come to regret later. There was defeaning silence afterwords, making me recoil back in embarrassment.
"So I have to first activate my power," I realized when I went through the information inscribed into my soul regarding this power. I scratched he back of my head in embarrassment.
"Let's do this the right way," I chuckled as I used my soul to connect to the power. Instantly, I felt an untapped infinite worth of power just at my fingertips, thrumming and bubbling, ready to be used.
"Whoa!" I was shocked by how this felt. Unlike my Qi which was subservient to me, the power felt untamed yet I knew it wouldn't hurt me. It was confusing how it felt.
"Give me Dr. Manhattan's powers," I said. Immediately after, the power moved and I fell unconscious.
.....
"You do not agree with my decision?" New Dawn's Sect Master asked his Protector as the two were discussing Dao.
"Yes, that was too much liniency to such an inconsequential gnat. We should have killed him and get it done with," the Protector venomously said. The Sect Master chuckled humorously at this.
"Yes, it would have been the best plan of action but honestly, the repercussions are too severe. The Sky Swallowing's first three elders are absolute monsters. I am about to ascend and I would rather not face their vengeance for killing the little flea. But, the diplomatic way will put me in their good graces while I will have a descendant in their protection always. It's a win win for us this way," the Sect Master explained.
"Hmm, so you have decided on what to do with the brat, huh?" he asked.
"Yes," the Sect Master solemnly said. "His condition is too peculiar, any of these Elder will immediately see through it if they take him in. Due to Sect politics I cannot teach him myself so I would only think of this way to let him survive,"bthe Sect Master answered. The two stared into space with vacant expressions. The Protector was about to speak when he felt his soul suddenly seize in fear. His and the sect master's body were frozen as they felt an unlrecedented power descend!
Mahayana Realm cultivators were closer to being divine, their entire state of being close to being above Laws. They could feel any cosmic event happening in their vicinity to a certain degree and the two were feeling a being of power that he or she compared to them would make them seem like specks of dusts in the vast universe. In fact, they felt like their very souls were siezed by the being and a tiny squeeze would render them post mortem. They dared not move, breath or even think in case this being decides they were annoying and just kill them!
Two hours, two consecutive hours, their whole internal activities had gone to a halt as they waited with resignation for the being to pass. They couldn't even feel fear or despair for the being's power was too much for that to matter. Finally, the being's power stopped influencing them and the two immediately lay prone, their bodies weak as the fear and despair finally kicked in. The knew they were dancing in the Reaper's arms and they had never felt life being so exorbitant!
"Who was that?" the Protector asked as he out his hand in his chest, trying to plicate his raging heart beat.
"We never speak of this!" the Sect Master sternly said a d the Protector nodded in agreement.
...
"Whoa!" Amos exclaimed when he woke up. He felt so vastly different his previous self wasn't even worth a single glance back. He was powerful, no, beyond powerful! He felt his breath could make or destroy universes, his wave could undo or remake reality, a single step would create a Big Bang! This was power, power beyond imagination! He knew a thing thrown at him would be inconsequential but, he wanted more! Living six centuries of a weak being at the bottom of the totem, no power was too powerful. He had the means so now, he would be that powerful.
"I want Wang Ling's power!" he said once he connected to the power. Immediately, he felt a power being bestowed into himself. Previously, he was a speck of dung obtaining power of an outerversal being so he had being rendered unconscious as he was elevated in status. But now, he felt as the power was being added on. It did not make him vastly more powerful, he felt a tiny increase, but the application to use said power was the biggest win!
Wang Ling, the protagonist of the light novel Daily Life of the Immortal King was OP to being unfair. In his previous life, he was an Immortal Emperor who decided to reincarnate in order to live blissfully out of conflict. He was outversal being who was beyond plot. If other MCs needed plot armor, Wang Ling was the plot armor. He was so powerful in fact he could get out of the story and defeat his author so that the story would go on! Now, Amos was afraid such a being would feel his power being copied and come out of fiction, but he hoped, no, prayed that the being who made all of this possible would have thought of that and made sure it wouldn't be possible.
"All in all, being powerful is amazing!" I said to myself as I clenched my fist and felt my power thrumming in anticipation, ready to be used. "But, not now, I have one last power to get."
"I want Franklin Richards powers and experience," I said once connected to Fictional Mimicry. Frankling Richards is a powerful reality warper and that was what I wanted. Sure, the other two could warp reality but Franklin Richards has much better feats and this experience using this power, especially his adult self. He felt the power being added onto him and smiled in satisfaction as he sat in a lotus position, receiving the memories and experience of Franklin Richards from his childhood to adulthood.
.....
For the third time, the Sect Master and his Protector were on the ground, unable to do anything as a vastly more powerful aura forced them not to even defend themselves. Even if they felt this particular being wasn't as powerful as the first two, they were still defenseless against their power. An hour later, the aura passed and the two were at the brink of tears.
"Just what is happening in this plane?" the Protector asked, not even bothering to lift himself up. As Mahayana Realm cultivators, they could destroy this planet ten times over and still have energy to go to a lasting battle of attention with another Mahayana Realm cultivator. They were the absolute power here yet for three times, they were reminded in the most humiliating way that they weren't shit!
"Grave times are coming old friend, let us hope we are ready for them," the Sect Master said solemnly. "Let's make sure Samuel is safe before we think about anything else."
"Yes," the Protector agreed, gravely.
....
It was now the following day and Amos was ready to face the world a brand new person. The previous him would have been dreading this day but he had made a decision and it was time for him to go forward with it. So, he beat every temptation he had to teleport to the Hall, walked there instead and softly knocked on the huge waste of resources that they called a door. Immediately after, a disciple in the Sky Realm opened and looked at me with disdain.
"Elder Amos, the Sect Master was not expecting you," he said.
"I know, I just have grave news he really needs to hear," Amos said with a smile. The disciple scoffed with disdain when he heard this.
"Yet, you cannot enter without the Sect Master's approval," the disciple sternly persisted. Amos instead, smiled brightly.
"Of course, beg your pardon, I was just too excited. I will send a letter to the Sect Master instead," he cheerfully said before disappearing. The student was astonished by this before his envy became thicker.
"That must be a martial art left behind by the previous peak Elders of the Sky Swallowing peak. That waste is truly lucky!" he said enviously.
Amos appeared in his peak as he stretched out his hand and a piece of paper that had already been written on appeared on his palm. He looked at it once over before nodding. The paper disappeared once again and Amos looked around before he disappeared too.
