That afternoon, Aiden and Amelia were on their way to Aiden's house. Unlike usual, Amelia seemed upset. She had every right to be. Who wouldn't be after Aiden humiliated her by causing Nick to misunderstand because of a box of condoms?
The memory of the previous night's incident was still fresh in her mind, and it made her seethe with frustration. She glared out the window, fuming silently, while Aiden, sensing her anger, stayed quiet. He knew he had messed up and wasn't sure how to fix it. The tension between them was palpable, hanging heavy in the air.
"How long are you going to stay mad?" Aiden asked, feeling hopeless. "I didn't know you grabbed condoms from the cabinet. And how could you be so naive? Don't you know the brands of condoms sold out there?"
"How would I know?" Amelia retorted. "I don't know anything about condoms or stuff like that."
