As Thomas opened the book, its pages began to flip as if a gust of wind were turning them. When the pages settled, words appeared, illuminated by an ethereal light. "Let's see what it says," Thomas remarked, glancing at everyone and then at the book. "The eight powers are Fairy, Sea, Earth, Fire, Wind, Light, Dark, and Spirit."
"So, we need Light, Fire, Dark, Wind, and Spirit," Kristen counted on her fingers. "That's five powers we need."
"We have five; we need four more powers," Selena corrected, looking at Kristen. "We have Fairy, Sea, Earth, and Dark."
"We don't have Dark," Kristen replied with confusion.
"Yes, we do, Kristen," Kathrine interjected, looking at her friend. "I have the Dark power."
"No, you don't. You have the Element as your power," argued Courtney.
"She has both Dark and Element in her," Ka Sandra added with a smile. "She has her mother and father's powers in her."
"That's true," Tierney chimed in. "Don't you remember when I said she has some of her father's Dark power in her?"
"Okay, let's focus on finding the other four," Thomas suggested, closing the book and placing it back into his weapon equip storage. "Ka Sandra, where are the other four?"
Ka Sandra walked over to the couch and sat down. "The other four are in different locations."
"Okay, this is going to be fun," Thomas remarked with a smile.
"Let's figure out the locations one at a time and go to the closest one," Kathrine suggested.
"Okay, that works for me," Tierney agreed with a smile.
"I'll tell you the locations one at a time, starting with the closest," Ka Sandra said, her cat eyes glowing brighter. "The first one is close, and his power is Light."
"The closest power is Light," Courtney noted. "How do we know where to find him?"
"First off, Courtney, how do you know it's a him?" Niall gave her a look.
"Because it's mostly all girls," Courtney replied with a smile. "You're just a fluke, is all."
"Okay, you two," Tierney intervened, looking at both of them. "It could be a boy or a girl. Besides, it doesn't matter."
"Let's not forget, there were four girls and four boys in the last chosen ones," Thomas added with a laugh.
"See, Courtney, there can be more boys," Niall teased.
"If you want to know," Ka Sandra explained, "there can only be four of each gender."
"So we can only have one more girl in our group?" Kristen asked with shock.
"Yes, that's correct, Kristen," Thomas confirmed. "So if this chosen one is a girl, the rest can only be boys."
"Where is the chosen one, Ka Sandra?" Kathrine inquired.
"The chosen one is in a building," Ka Sandra replied, her eyes darkening again. "I can see a warehouse."
"That narrows it down," Niall said with a smile.
"The warehouse seems to have a facility underground," Ka Sandra continued, her eyes returning to normal. "I can't see anything else."
"That's okay; it helps," Tierney said with a smile.
"Where do we look first?" Courtney asked.
"Most of the warehouses are by the docks," Thomas explained. "It should be easy, as the warehouse we're looking for won't be in business."
"That makes sense," Kristen agreed. "But how do we find the right one? We can't go through every warehouse."
"She has a point," Niall admitted. "Most of the warehouses are still in business."
"That's why it's easy," Thomas explained with a smile. "The warehouse we're looking for would be one that doesn't have a business in it."
"So, which two buildings are empty?" Courtney inquired.
"The two buildings are The Wood Cutters warehouse and The River Glass Dock Tour," Niall answered.
"The River Glass Dock Tour?" Tierney questioned with curiosity. "What can you tell me about it?"
"It was supposed to have a tour to see the sights, but it never opened up," Niall explained. "My father said it's still owned by the same person."
"What was the person's name?" Thomas asked.
"I think his name was Mr. V. River," Niall replied, looking down. "That is the warehouse we need to go to."
"That makes sense; he used his wife's last name," Thomas chuckled. "Part of the last name."
"Okay then, I'm leaving now," Ka Sandra announced as she got up from the couch. "Since you all have it under control."
"Thank you, Ka Sandra," Tierney said, hugging her.
"Be safe, everyone," Ka Sandra advised as she walked into the shadows and disappeared.
"Let's do this," Kristen declared, jumping off the couch.
"Someone is all pumped up," Kathrine noted with a laugh.
"So when do we leave?" Courtney asked, joining Kristen.
"We leave today," Thomas replied with a smile.
"You guys need to rest up and train a little more before we leave," Tierney added, getting up to leave the room. As everyone got up from the couch, Kathrine felt someone watching her.
"Kathrine, stay a little longer," a whispering voice reached Kathrine's ear.
"How are you?" Kathrine asked, walking back to the couch.
"It's me, Ka Sandra," the whisper in her ear revealed.
