As Bill turned to face Kathrine, the air around them started to warm up. He noticed Kathrine holding an angel sword, crafted by Gabriel.
"Where did you get that?" Bill asked with anger in his tone.
"I got this from my uncle," replied Kathrine as the angel sword ignited in flames. "And I told you to leave them alone."
"Oh, and you think you can tell me what to do?" Bill smirked. As he attempted to conjure an ice blade, it melted in his hand.
"Courtney, when this ice wall comes falling," instructed Kathrine, "you need to manipulate the water, so it doesn't hit us or my mom."
"Okay, I will try," responded Courtney as she raised her hands.
"How can you do this?" Bill questioned, frustration building as his ice continued to melt. "No one but three people can melt my ice, and one of them is dead."
"It's because you pissed me off," retorted Kathrine as black wings emerged from her back.
"I see now," Bill began, "Oh, Tierney, I see why your..." Before he could finish his sentence, the ice wall crashed down like a massive wave.
"Courtney!" exclaimed Kathrine as her wings disappeared.
"I know," said Courtney, attempting to control the water, "it's harder than it looks." The water engulfed Bill within seconds.
"A little longer, Courtney," urged Kathrine as she approached her. "The water is going into the bay."
Once all the water had disappeared into the bay, Courtney lowered her arms, and the air was no longer cold.
"Is he finally gone?" asked Kristen as she looked around.
"I think so," Niall replied with a smile. "I think the water took him with it."
"Mom, are you okay?" Kathrine inquired as she ran to Tierney.
"Yes," Tierney responded with a smile, "and I'm almost done healing your uncle."
"Thank you, Tierney," expressed Thomas as his wound disappeared.
"You're always welcome," Tierney replied with a smile.
"Now that Bill is gone, we should get in and save Carlyle and stop Victor," Kathrine suggested, looking towards the warehouse entrance.
"Yeah, we should go," agreed Thomas as he got up from Tierney's lap.
"Be careful, Thomas; you got stabbed, remember," Tierney said with worry in her voice.
"Yeah, yeah, I know," Thomas replied with a smile. "But you healed me."
"Yeah, but you still need to take it easy," Tierney insisted as she stood up from the ground.
"Okay, you take it easy," Kathrine teased. "But let's get going."
"Yeah, I'm ready to raise hell!" yelled Niall, pumping his arms in the air.
As everyone walked towards the warehouse doors, they noticed the entire upper part of the building was made of glass.
"You weren't lying about the place being glass," Kristen remarked, looking at Niall.
"Yeah, it's like a glass house but on a dock," Niall chuckled.
Inside, everything was covered in white sheets – chairs, tables, and lamps.
"This place looks haunted," Courtney commented as she surveyed the room.
"Just a little bit," Niall laughed.
"So, where is the entrance to the lower floor?" Kathrine wondered as she started to explore.
"I don't know," Niall admitted, joining the search. "I just know about the place is all."
"Let me try something," Thomas suggested, lifting his hand. "DOOR!"
Out of nowhere, a light appeared on the glass wall toward the back.
"What did you just do?" Kristen asked, intrigued.
"I used a door finder spell," Thomas explained with a smile.
"That's awesome," Niall exclaimed with a laugh.
As everyone gathered around the glowing glass, it started to dim.
"So, how is this a door?" Kristen questioned, looking around. "There is no door handle."
"It might be a magic door," Selena proposed, touching the glass.
When Tierney's hand touched the glass, a voice emanated from it. "Name, please."
"Let's try a name," suggested Kathrine.
"Okay, let me see," Tierney pondered. "Victor Glass."
"Voice does not match, please try again," the voice responded.
"Victor Riverside," Tierney attempted.
"Voice does not match, please try again," the voice repeated.
"Those did not work," said Kathrine. "Now what?"
"Why don't we try our real names?" Thomas suggested.
"Okay," Tierney agreed, looking at Thomas. "Tierney Duke."
"Please try again," said the voice.
"No, Tierney, our real names," Thomas corrected, looking at Tierney. "It is time to face the past."
"Okay," Tierney said, meeting Thomas's gaze. "I will."
"What does he mean, my real name?" Kathrine asked, confused, looking at her mother and then at Thomas.
"Tierney Riverside," Tierney declared, focusing on her daughter.
"Welcome, Tierney Riverside," the voice announced as the glass door opened.
"What the hell," Niall exclaimed in shock. "I did not see that coming at all."
"Are you saying..." Kathrine started, looking at her mom and then at Thomas, "you guys are the Riverside siblings?"
"Yes, we are," Thomas confirmed with a smile.
"Why did you lie to us?" Kathrine questioned with anger in her voice.
"Because we did not want to face the past," Tierney admitted with sadness in her tone. "So you just lied to us like it's nothing?" Kathrine pointed at her friends.
"I'm sorry you're mad, but we don't have time to—" Thomas began.
"We need to save Carlyle from Victor," Tierney interrupted. "Fine," Kathrine said, looking away from her mom.
"So, it looks like an elevator," Courtney observed, walking over to the open glass door.
"I think there is more than one floor," Thomas commented as he examined the buttons.
"So, there are three floors to this place," Tierney observed, stepping into the elevator and pressing the 2nd and 3rd-floor buttons. "When the elevator stopped, the door opened, and as Tierney, Courtney, and Kristen walked out, they could see one large open room with three doors – one on the back wall and one on each side. "This looks easy and boring," Kristen remarked, scanning the room.
"It will be fine; just stick to the plan," Tierney reassured with a smile. "The faster we're out of here, the better."
"You guys have fun," Courtney said, looking at Thomas and her other two friends. "Be safe," Tierney added with a smile.
When the doors started to close, Thomas smiled and nodded his head to his sister, signaling the beginning of their separate missions.
