Chapter 1 - Tohsaka Kirito

In the year 30 since Konoha founding, an isekaied man found himself in a rather unexpected situation. He had been accidentally reborn as an orphan named Tohsaka Kirito, residing in one of Konoha's orphanages on the village outskirts. The idea of living in the Hidden Leaf Village, a place of ninjas and legends, had always fascinated him. Now that he was in this world, he was determined to become a ninja himself. However, a major problem stood in his way.

Unlike the protagonist of the stories he had heard in his previous life, Kirito's situation was far from ideal. There were no martyr parents to pass down ninja techniques or offer guidance. The village lacked free state schooling, and Kirito couldn't even dream of affording the tuition fees required to attend the Konoha Academy. The academy operated on a strict system of tuition and scholarships, which seemed like an insurmountable barrier to him.

You would think that making the academy paying is an idiocy, but the amount of shinobi and rich people in konoha is never lacking, and someone talentued will never lack the means to earn money.

what a ruthless system.

To make matters even more challenging, Kirito discovered a mysterious system that had somehow accompanied him during his isekai journey. This system allowed him to accumulate points, but there were no strengthening points available, and the source of acquiring these points remained unclear.

Kirito realized that life had already become far more complicated than he ever imagined. He can't sleep well remembering the light and darkness duo of konoha, who love using genius and throwing them like vegetables

—-----------------------------------------------

In the tranquil afternoon on the northwest edge of Konoha village, nestled among the lush trees and chirping birds, stood an old wooden house. It was a place that sheltered around twenty children, along with the matron and a few helpers. A small yard, enclosed by a sturdy brick wall, provided a space where the children could play and enjoy the fresh air.

The matron of this orphanage was an elderly woman named Mrs. Tanaka. With a heart as warm as the sun, she spent her days mending clothing for the children while keeping a watchful eye on them as they played. For her, seeing the children's smiles was a balm that healed her soul.

Amidst the laughter and games, Mrs. Tanaka couldn't help but frown when her gaze fell upon a little boy who sat alone, engrossed in a book. It wasn't that she was worried about him integrating with the other children. Rather, she was concerned that he might be taking his studies too seriously, which could potentially harm his eyesight and rob him of the joys of childhood.

The boy's name was Tohsaka Kirito, an ordinary orphan of war. His parents had been simple folk, not shinobi, who had come to Konoha when he was just a toddler. Tragedy had befallen them on the road to the village, as they encountered ruthless bandits. Kirito was the sole survivor of that horrifying ordeal, saved only by the intervention of a Konoha Chunin who had come across the scene just in time to prevent further tragedy.

Mrs. Tanaka had a special place in her heart for Kirito, understanding the weight of the tragedy he had endured at such a tender age. She wished for him to experience the joys of being a child, to play and laugh like the others.

As time passed in the orphanage, Tohsaka Kirito continued to grow, slowly shedding the dullness that had once defined him. While he had never been a troublemaker or a misfit, his taciturn nature had left him in a daze, often lost in his own thoughts, possibly haunted by the traumatic memories of his parents' murder. His past experiences weighed heavily on him, and he carried the burden of a child who had witnessed the harsh realities of life at a young age.

Not long ago, Kirito had suffered a severe fever that had brought him to the brink of death. But miraculously, he had pulled through. The fever had seemingly ignited a transformation within him. No longer was he the same, dull boy. Instead, he emerged as a remarkably sensible and responsible child, always offering to help with chores and tasks around the orphanage.

Mrs. Tanaka couldn't help but feel relieved by this change, believing that the brush with death had somehow matured the young boy. It was not unusual for orphaned children to mature early, she thought. Life had forced them to grow up faster than their peers.

Kirito's newfound interest in reading also intrigued Mrs. Tanaka. He had taken the initiative to ask her—the only literate person in the orphanage—to teach him. She gladly agreed. Kirito's aptitude for learning was astonishing. In less than two weeks, he had learned thousands of characters and was now able to read on his own.

The old dean understood that Kirito's rapid transformation was the result of a combination of factors—the trauma of losing his parents, the near-death experience, and the inherent resilience that many orphaned children possessed. During the warring state period, a child like Kirito, who was fortunate enough to survive at his age, would have already witnessed more hardships and brutality than most adults could fathom.

Tohsaka Kirito, an ordinary transmigrator who had found himself in this strange world of Naruto, was driven by a burning desire to learn about this new world through books. He didn't notice the pity in the old dean's eyes, or perhaps he did but chose to ignore it. Instead, he was wholly engrossed in the pages of the books that opened up new horizons for him.

After a month of learning, Kirito had come to understand both where he was—transplanted into the world of Naruto, 30 years after Konoha's founding—and his own identity as a helpless orphan.

Kirito's realization of his identity as a helpless orphan in the world of Konoha was indeed a harsh truth to bear. He knew that entering the prestigious Konoha Academy, where young ninja were trained, was a dream that seemed impossible to attain. The old dean, Mrs. Tanaka, had provided him with a somber education on the harsh realities of life in a ninja village.

He learned that attending the academy required not only skill and determination but also financial resources. The facilities and training provided at the academy were not free. Unless one's parents were Konoha shinobi martyrs who had made significant contributions to the village, families had to pay tuition fees if they wanted their children to receive ninja training. The tales he had heard on the internet about the ease of living in a ninja village were far from the truth.

Furthermore, there was another crucial condition for academy admission: possessing ninja qualifications. Kirito was fortunate in this aspect. After absorbing the memories of the original owner of his current body, he had learned that the ninja who had rescued the original owner had brought him back to Konoha precisely because he had recognized the original's innate shinobi aptitude.

The ninja who had saved him had even considered adopting the young toddler, out of pity and a sense of responsibility. However, fate had other plans. Tragically, that very same ninja had met his end on the battlefield half a year ago, before he could fulfill his intention. With his wealth and possessions transferred to his closest blood relative, the orphaned Kirito was left to navigate this unforgiving world on his own.

Kirito's inquiry about tuition money was met with a heartfelt but negative response from the old dean, Mrs. Tanaka. She explained to him that while the orphanage could manage their monthly expenses, covering the substantial tuition fees for Konoha's ninja academy was a daunting and unrealistic task. The founding of the orphanage was not designed to fund the education of its residents beyond providing for their basic needs.

Realizing that he couldn't rely on the orphanage's resources to secure his place at the academy, Kirito felt a growing sense of responsibility. He understood that if he truly wished to become a ninja and receive the training he so desperately desired, he would have to find a way to acquire the necessary funds on his own.

Kirito pondered the daunting task of earning enough money to cover his tuition as a 5-year-old orphan. He understood that his age presented a significant challenge, but he was determined to find a way.

as he was deep in thought, a girl's cheerful voice rang out, calling for the old dean. Kirito looked up to see a beautiful, fair-skinned blonde little girl carrying dozens of fish tied together with straw ropes. Young boys accompanied her, carrying just as many fish. Their appearance immediately drew the attention of all the other children in the orphanage, sparking excited conversations.

Curiosity piqued, Kirito closed his book, titled "The Will of Fire," a sign that he was already preparing himself for the future, just in case. He joined the group, his attention fixed on the plump fish in their hands. It seems like today's dinner would be fish, a rare treat for the orphanage.

The dean asked the girl with a worried expression, "Nono, where did you find so many fish? Did you go to the river?" The river near the orphanage was known to be teeming with fish, but it was also inhabited by dangerous creatures due to the strong currents. Living in a world filled with dangers, such as frightening snakes and enormous fish capable of swallowing people whole, had made the dean cautious.

Nono reassured the dean, "Don't worry, Grandma Dean. We used a trap in the shallow water downstream of the river. There was no risk." The conversation continued among the children, with Nono explaining how they had ingeniously crafted a fishing trap using stones and branches, allowing the fish to jump into it of their own accord. The children boasted about eating fish every day from now on, patting themselves on the back for Nono clever inventions as if it was them who made it.

The children's plan to use their newly crafted fishing trap every day filled the air with excitement and anticipation. One of the boys nodded in agreement with the plan, proudly proclaiming that he had helped Nono make the trap. His cheeks turned slightly rosy as he looked at her, clearly admiring her resourcefulness and skill.

When the old dean overheard their conversation, she believed them wholeheartedly. Yakushi Nono had always struck her as a remarkably intelligent and dexterous girl, and the two boys were known for their honesty. It was inconceivable that they would cover for Nono if she had been dishonest.

"Thank you for your hard work. Let's have fish soup and grilled fish tonight," the delighted dean announced, and the children cheered in response to the prospect of such a delicious meal.

Amidst the excitement, Nono discreetly glanced at Kirito and winked. Kirito's expression remained composed, but he responded with a thumbs-up, acknowledging her message of gratitude and cooperation.

As the day turned into night, the children's eager anticipation grew. The tantalizing aroma of fish soup and grilled fish filled the orphanage, a comforting reminder of their hard work and resourcefulness. In the warmth of the orphanage's kitchen, surrounded by the laughter and chatter of his fellow orphans, kirito watched them having fun, eating his fish happily.

As Kirito savored the taste of the grilled fish and sipped his fish soup, he couldn't help but Nono's face, enjoying her fish. Then to Her bowl of fish soup that sat before her, its aroma carrying a strong fishy smell, much like his own. Despite the lack of added spices, Kirito was thoroughly enjoying his meal, and his expression betrayed his satisfaction, and his want for more.

His gaze shifted again to Nono, the blonde girl sitting across from him. She was the first friend he had made in this orphanage after his transmigration into this world. Although he didn't know much about her, he was aware of her future—a future marred by darkness and tragedy. In the original storyline, she would be absorbed into the sinister organization known as "Root," under the control of the enigmatic and ruthless figure, Danzo.

Kirito couldn't bear the thought of his kind and smart friend suffering such a fate. He had read about her eventual adoption of one of the series' greatest antagonists, Yakushi Kabuto. Nono's tragic ending, plotted by Danzo and her subsequent death at the hands of her adopted son, weighed heavily on Kirito's mind.

Despite knowing the dark path that awaited her in the original story, Kirito hoped for a different, happier ending for his friend. He had come to rely on Nono's intelligence and reliability, and he cherished her as a true friend.

Kirito couldn't help but be amazed by Nono's intelligence and talent. He recalled how he had briefly explained the method of creating a fishing trap to her, and she had successfully crafted one with ease. Not only that, but she possessed the ability to read and write on her own, showcasing her natural aptitude for learning. It was clear to Kirito that she was a true civilian genius, capable of achieving great heights if given the right resources and opportunities.

He knew that with the proper guidance and training, Nono had the potential to become an elite ninja in the future. Her intelligence and quick learning abilities were qualities that would serve her well on the path to becoming a skilled shinobi. Kirito couldn't bear the thought of such a reliable friend being ruined by the machinations of those in power, particularly Shimura Danzo, the influential Hokage darkness known as the "King of Pot."

As Kirito's thoughts drifted, he noticed Nono's gaze directed at him. She picked up her bowl of fish soup and decisively drank it down, her eyes meeting Kirito's expectant gaze. With a satisfied smile

"You wanted some ? hihi "

In response, Kirito playfully stuck out his tongue at her "I'm stuffed "

Such a stingy friend.
