"Just some random matters," Kent uttered. He slowly backed off while preparing to summon his shield.
Greg clicked his tongue. The innocent facade he showed them yesterday was now gone as he looked at them with a strange smile. "Hey! Lower your sword! That's dangerous." He didn't seem to be afraid at all and he even managed to crack a joke.
Celine pointed her sword at Greg while glaring at him. "You lied to us!"
Greg laughed at her words. "Did the girl say something to you? Seems like I no longer need to hide it. You know what? You look really beautiful. I'll do you next after that girl" He laughed sinisterly.
Celine frowned in disgust, while Lina shook in fear.
Kent quickly summoned his shield. He moved in front of the two girls while keeping an eye on Greg. "There are many of us here. You won't leave this place unharmed if you hurt us!" He had to buy some time before Rendell and the others noticed the commotion. By now, they should have already heard what was happening since the house wasn't that big.
Greg smiled. "You mean those little friends of yours? What can a bunch of little kids do? Have you ever killed someone before? Hahaha!"
Hearing his words, Kent responded with a cold smile. "Our friend managed to kill a Level 10 Giant Millipede all by himself. Can you do that?"
Greg frowned. "You're bluffing. Do you think you can fool me so easily?" Rendell's face momentarily appeared in his mind and it made him feel a bit nervous.
'No way! I'm actually afraid of a kid!' Greg angrily thought in his heart. It took him a week to reach Level 4. He hunted numerous low-level creatures to reach his level so he found it hard to believe that a young man could already kill a Level 10 creature when he couldn't.
Celine stared at him contemptuously. "He's not lying. You can even find the corpse of the creature in our school."
Greg's expression turned dark.
Just as he was about to retort, he suddenly heard someone's footsteps. He looked behind him and saw Rendell standing there with a calm gaze.
"Rendell!" Kent was relieved to see him. Celine also felt a lot better when she saw him.
Greg raised his hand. A sharp ice slowly materialized above his palm.
After congealing a sharp ice, he released it towards Rendell with a wave of his hand.

Everything happened so fast that it was already too late for them to warn Rendell.
In the instant he released his attack, Rendell twisted his body, but because he was too close to Greg, he couldn't evade in time. The sharp ice struck his shoulder, but it didn't manage to penetrate his armor.
Greg was horrified upon seeing this. He quickly summoned more ice shards to attack Rendell.
Rendell remained unfazed even though he was bombarded with sharp ice shards. He pulled out his sword and rushed forward all while evading the ice shards like a ghost.
Greg became frantic when he saw that his attacks weren't connecting. "Die! Die! Die!" He screamed like a lunatic.
Rendell evaded most of the ice shards and used his sword to block the ones that he couldn't evade.
At this moment, he had gotten closer to Greg. With one quick move, he struck out his sword diagonally.
A spray of blood came out as Greg's arm was severed.
"Ahhhh!!!" Greg screamed like a dying pig.
Rendell didn't stop there. He swung his sword and aimed for Greg's neck.
Whoosh!
Everyone watched in horror and shock as Greg's severed head fell to the floor with a dull thud.
Blood leaked out from the headless corpse, slowly forming a puddle of blood.
"Ahh!" Lina screamed when she saw the terrifying scene.
Celine quickly hugged her to cover her eyes from the gruesome sight, while Kent almost vomited the food he ate last night.
Soon, James and the others finally arrived.
When they saw the headless corpse lying in its pool of blood, their faces turned ashen.
"Is that Officer Greg?! What's going on?"
"What happened here?"
Rendell bent down and wiped the blade of his sword clean using the corpse's clothes.
No one said anything when they saw that.
"Allow me to explain." Kent immediately stepped forward to tell them what happened.
When the rest learned about this, they felt much better.
"So that guy was posing as a police officer to fool us! I even thought that he was a nice person! Dammit!" James punched the wall in anger.
"He also raped Lina's friends and killed them. He deserves to be killed!" Ericka was also furious after learning the truth.
Kent removed the bed sheet and used it to cover the corpse. "We must leave and search for another hiding place. The evolved beasts should have heard the commotion. They might be here soon."
Everyone's faces turned grave upon hearing that.
Phillip rushed towards the window to take a look at the situation outside. "They aren't here yet, but we should leave now. I have a bad feeling about this."
"Let's go and grab our stuff!"
"I'll go help you carry your daughter, Sir Ralph."
"Me too."
While everyone was rushing to grab their things, Rendell was looking at his status screen with interest.
