He sat beside her without saying a word. She wondered who he was and why he was here. He finally spoke,"You should eat your food if you want to live long enough to figure out the enemies you're up against". Ella was confused by his sudden advice forcing her to ask,"Who are you".He answered with no hesitation,"The name's William and I just observed this is your first time being a captive".
Ella was surprised at the man's correct guess."Plus you think they poisoned the food",he added. Her eyes widened as she thought the man before her was a mind reader. She calmed herself down before he looked at her amused."Trust me,wolves don't need drugs to make vams blurt out information"he said with such calmness in his voice like it was the gospel truth."If there are so many ways to kill a cat then there are even more ways to crush a bat",he said.
Ella, who was intrigued by his wisdom and pissed off by his comments all at the same time asked"What can these proud wolves of yours do to me,huh". He grinned and spoke,"I guess you don't know the team ,let me introduce those you need to know".Just then Jason was seen rounding off his men and telling them to form lines. You should be wary of him,he is no mere wolf".Ella knew he was speaking of Jason. Ofcourse she would be careful with the one who bows to no one," she thought to herself."You are lucky to be on his good side".he added, like he was reading her mind again. As they watched the wolves assemble, a guy with a pot belly, being bare chested and wearing only boxers joined the line."Oh yeah, that guy what's you dead",he said with his eyes on the pot belly man.
"His name was Glover and he was the wolf who attacked you that night. She remembered it and reckoned that the potbelly wolf was totally naked on the fullmoon and then she asked,"Why tell me his name"."Because, he's looking for a reason to kill you so call him Glover and don't look him sAfter the intense scene Sara caused, Ella's decision was firm. She refused to consume the food. Instead, she chose to wear the restraints. The rationale behind her decision was a warning from Badu during wartime studies. He emphasized that trusting the enemy, even under justifiable circumstances, was perilous.
For instance, food could be laced with sleeping pills or other substances intended to harm or induce vulnerability, leading to the disclosure of valuable information. Determined not to play into their hands, Ella steadfastly gazed at the food until she detected a footstep behind her.She turned to encounter a tall man, possessing black hair, light brown skin, small eyes, a flat nose, a perfect jawline, and a muscular physique. He silently seated himself beside her, prompting her to ponder his identity and purpose.
Breaking the silence, he advised, "You should eat your food if you want to live long enough to figure out the enemies you're up against." Ella, taken aback by this unexpected counsel, was compelled to inquire, "Who are you?" Without hesitation, he replied, "The name's William, and I couldn't help but notice that this is your first time being a captive." Ella was astonished by the man's accurate assertion. "Plus, you think they poisoned the food," he added. Her eyes widened as she entertained the notion that the man before her was a mind reader.
She composed herself before he regarded her with an amused expression. "Trust me, wolves don't need drugs to make vams blurt out information," he said with a serene conviction in his voice, as if it were an undeniable truth."If there are so many ways to kill a cat, then there are even more ways to crush a bat," he said. Ella, both intrigued by his wisdom and irritated by his remarks, asked, "What can these proud wolves of yours do to me, huh?" He grinned and responded, "I guess you don't know the team, let me introduce those you need to know."
Just then, Jason was seen organizing his men and instructing them to form lines. "You should be wary of him, he is no mere wolf," he cautioned. Ella recognized that he was referring to Jason. "Of course I would be cautious with someone who bows to no one," she thought to herself. "You are lucky to be on his good side," he added, seemingly reading her mind once again. As they observed the wolves assemble, a man with a pot belly, bare-chested, and wearing only boxers joined the line. "Oh yeah, that guy wants you dead," he remarked, keeping his gaze fixed on the pot-bellied man.
His name was Glover, the wolf who had attacked Ella that night. She recalled the incident and pondered the oddity of the potbelly wolf being completely naked on the full moon. "Why tell me his name?" she inquired. "Because he's looking for a reason to kill you, so call him Glover and don't look him straight in the eyes when he stares at you," the man advised.
Sara then entered the scene, standing by Jason. "Also, the lady who served you is no joke. She does what she says," he said, shifting the conversation to Sara. "Don't play brave with her, but rest assured that she won't hurt you unless the boss allows her to," he added. As he prepared to leave, he uttered his final words, "Now I will leave you with your food, but take my advice: there's no use in fighting when you need to get to know your enemy."
It seemed like Ella was now left deep in thought as she contemplated her next move, staring back at the food with a sense of uncertainty.
