Shin, without saying much, just advises him as follows:
"A strong man defends himself, the strongest man defends others," Shin replies with a few words from a phrase he stored away years ago when he was a child.
This phrase was taken from a cartoon he had seen when he was five years old. It told the story of a bull who was the leader of all the animals, and on a fateful day... he was murdered by coyotes without proper care.
He was the strongest animal in the entire herd, taking care of every being present in that barn. From the smallest to the largest, because the biggest one was always him... Bull Ben.
To the sound of his musical instrument, he sang (I won't back down) where he would never back down on his goals and obligations as the leader of the herd and a great father.
Shin takes this as an analogy for his life, always protecting those who deserve it and showing that he is the greatest of all to the point where no one can surpass him in protecting what he loves.
A few minutes later, heading to the classroom… there was only a girl in the back messing with her cell phone.
She was watching a music video of female K-pop members titled (Vispen), which was the current band in the Korean music scene.
Shin and Jing, without saying anything… just sit at their desks and grab their cellphones to distract themselves until the other students arrive to start the next class.
Of course, Jing studies the same course as Shin, but he doesn't stand out as much because he's always focusing on his dream of becoming a professional FPS player in an online shooting game.
Since there would be a huge interclass at the university, where there would be everything to compete and do to achieve higher grades and scores.
He was willing to win to reach a higher score above the statue located in the initial corridor of the university.
But first, he would need to have better grades in his course and, of course, stand out in this upcoming interclass that would happen this year.
Shin and three other friends including Jing are competing in this FPS championship.
As time passed waiting for the rest of the students to enter, the girl who was there in the back observing Jing and Shin... began to observe the two from afar.
Especially Shin, and this ended up making her feel a slight pain in her chest.
She doesn't make any noise as she feels the pain, she lowers her head on the table to pretend she is sleeping while a small purple smoke comes out over her chest and goes towards her right ear.
"You're defiant, and nothing more than that," said a hoarse and penetrating voice to Hana's brain.
The voice settled in her mind after the smoke entered her ear, her direct communication with the inner species is from this.
After the voice stopped speaking to her, her chest calmed down again, and she immediately held her breath and walked out of the classroom normally.
She exits through the classroom door and closes it afterward without causing any suspicion to the two in the room.
Shin and Jing look at that door and just have a normal expression.
"I think she was on her period," Jing said to Shin beside him, looking at the classroom door. "I fully agree, bro," Shin replies, nodding his head up and down.
And the two go back to using their cellphones.
Hours go by, and the class has already ended, their study shifts are in the morning and their study finishes at one in the afternoon.
The two walk towards the main gate of the university and live normally.
They go to the same place where Shin had disembarked to go towards the university, which would be crossing the main city of Sapporo.
Jing and Shin sit on a wooden bench to rest a bit after the short walk.
"While you go by subway, I always go by train... the same routine every day," Jing said, opening his system by clicking on the button on the right side of his head near the eye, which is the same place where the students access.
Jing, of course, has extensive details for using his system correctly, and naturally, no information for him is limited compared to Shin's.
"Incredible that your system doesn't even have a limitation, right?" Shin said, smiling mischievously at him, getting close to his best friend's face.
Jing then politely moves his face away from him, pushing Shin's face away slowly.
"The difference is that at least I'm not as nosy as you, wanting to know everything and everyone… so the system doesn't overlook that," Jing responds, crossing his arms on the bench, and Shin understands that.
Shin then sighs and accepts his defeat so that later on he can reflect on it and see if it's worth abusing it or not.
He had a purpose to have to abuse the system, which somehow kept him connected to any kind of characteristic that could be suspicious, to the point of not needing to get involved in problems with it.
The system is his, and he should use it as he pleases; he pays for it and still uses it as a study method… and also for his safety.
The university had to be aware that his parents work for the government on confidential matters and couldn't limit him in that way.
And he feels it's unfair not to know anything about what his parents are doing.
Jing and Shin then wait for their vehicles to pick them up.
