The next day, Jerome took Guin to Fox Island. At her request, he dropped her off at the island's edge. Guin never thought that the fox clan's territory was on an island of its own, separate from the mainland. Now that she had set foot on Fox Island, she could see the soulless sea separating this island from the mainland.
"This is the map of the island," Jerome handed another scroll to Guin. "I made it based on my experience of coming here several times."
"I remember we met twice, but why didn't you come again after that?"
Jerome's purpose in coming to the island was only to scout and set traps. He was one of the people who caused the clan massacre to occur and coincidentally met little Guin. He couldn't come because that 'man' attacked the fox clan faster than they planned, and Guin was no longer there.
