Jerome was stunned, not expecting Guin to discuss their meeting after ten years of not seeing each other. "You remember?"
"En." Guin put both hands around Jerome's neck. "I remember you getting lost in my house area, then entertained me by creating my fox star. I remember everything." Guin thought Jerome would feel happy after hearing her confession. Never did she expect a glint of sadness to fill his bloody red eyes.
"What is it? Aren't you happy?" Guin felt lost when Jerome loosened his embrace. She didn't understand how the man's mind functioned. In one second, he would approach her without permission and enter her comfort zone without warning. In another second, the man will become cold and build a high and thick wall.
"It's not that I'm not happy. Aren't you hungry? I'm sure Lord Fye is waiting for us."
Guin was at a loss for words, looking at her empty hands while Jerome walked without looking back. Why doesn't that man hold her hand anymore?
