Sunlight peeked through the window, caressing Guin's face as if to cajole her awake. Guin blinked several times, stretching all the muscles in her body, until her eyes caught sight of a thin bracelet with a spider shell around her wrist.
It was not a good-looking accessory, but she didn't care, considering she was not particularly fond of jewelry. Nonetheless, it was uncommon to wear a spider bracelet. Considering she had slept well the whole night without nightmares, she felt she had to thank the magical familiar.
"Did you really absorb all my nightmares? This is the first time I've woken up feeling light." Even though there was no visible change in the bracelet, Guin felt a tingling sensation on her hand as if the bracelet was responding to her question. "Thank you. I had a good night's sleep thanks to you."
