Jerome sat pensively on the rocks on the hill, his eyes gazing at the dark sky. Since his inner wolf had moved into Guin's body, he could no longer hear the voices of his brother or his pack members in his mind. Neither could he hear the sound of beasts communicating. It was as if he had turned into an ordinary being, instead of a monstrous or beastman. It would be perfect if that were the case since his thirst for blood had become more apparent than his hunger for human food.
Nonetheless, he found himself able to feel calm and peaceful for the first time since no voices rang in his mind. He wished time would stop for now until he heard a cheerful, thundering voice.
"Ah, I finally found you! What are you doing here by yourself?"
