Chapter 2 - Sacred Dimension

When Theodore opened his eyes, he had moved to a large grassy field, not only that in the distance he saw a bamboo forest swaying in the wind.

Of course Theodore panicked when he found himself displaced, let alone he was suddenly thrown into an unknown place like this.

"Where is this exactly?" muttered Theodore quietly.

After glancing around and not finding anyone, Theodore ventured to step up and check out this place.

The only place Theodore could check was the bamboo forest that felt a little eerie.

Fortunately, the bamboo forest was not too long, so it didn't take Theodore long to walk through the bamboo forest.

And it turned out that behind the bamboo forest was a large pond full of clear water.

"There's a wellspring here?" Theodore frowned in confusion because he didn't think there would be a wellspring in an empty place like this.

Knowing that there was a spring behind the bamboo forest, Theodore went out and looked around the small plain.

And Theodore found nothing else there, only a grassy expanse of land with a soothing breeze.

"System, can you explain what this place is?" Finally unable to think of anything, Theodore asked System.

[Didn't the Host previously want to see the Sacred Dimension that System gave?]

"So this is a private dimension for me?" Theodore was very surprised at this moment.

Although he had expected that the System would give him amazing power. But, Theodore didn't expect to be up against the sky like this.

[That's right! Since the Host level was still low, the Sacred Dimension was only on it's small size]

"Can I expand this dimension?" asked Theodore, feeling like he hit the jackpot this time.

[As long as the Host can level up, the dimension will become bigger and wider]

"Then, tell me how to raise my level!" Theodore quickly urged the System to give him an answer.

Because having a personal dimension in Apocalypse would be very helpful, although it could also be very risky, if there were bad people who knew this secret.

Theodore had to hide this power if he didn't want to die again because he was betrayed by someone who couldn't be trusted.

[Hosts can level up by killing zombies or mutated creatures]

"But, the Apocalypse is still about six months away. During that time, can't I level up?" Theodore thought that there was another way for him to level up.

[Unfortunately there is no other way. It's just that Hosts can meditate inside the Sacred Dimension to gain Skills to survive in the Apocalypse world]

Although Theodore was a bit pained at not being able to level up before the Apocalypse arrived, at least he could gain more skills as long as he meditated inside the Sacred Dimension.

"So far I've understood. Can you take me out of this dimension?" said Theodore.

In an instant Theodore was back in the living room of his family home when he opened his eyes.

"It will be hard for me to get used to this." Theodore grimaced as he felt his head was quite dizzy when the System moved him back.

Originally, Theodore had wanted to move to a house that was in a neighbourhood that would serve as a base in the future and start stocking up on food supplies so that his life could be better during the Apocalypse.

However, now that Theodore had a personal dimension, he did not need to move to stock up during the Apocalypse.

Theodore just needs to include everything he needs to survive in his dimension.

What Theodore needed to do now was to get his family's inheritance money. The Spencer family is a famous business family in K-town that owns a large company and as the sole heir in the family, Theodore is the new leader of the company.

But, the problem was that his father's family was interfering in the company and they didn't want Theodore to hold a high position in the company.

"It looks like this time I'll have to give up my position in the company, so instead I'll sell it to them for cash." Neither the high position nor the company would be of any use to Theodore when the Apocalypse arrived.

So Theodore was more than willing to let his father's family take control of his father's company.

And again Theodore heard his cell phone ringing this time, so he ran back to his room to pick up the call.

When Theodore had just picked up the call, he was immediately greeted with the voice of a middle-aged man yelling at him.

"Where have you been ignoring my calls!" said a voice from the other side.

Theodore knew this voice belonged to his uncle Floyd. It seemed like he wanted to discuss the inheritance that Theodore was about to receive.

A grin appeared on Theodore's face, just now he was thinking of how to discuss this with his uncle and the opportunity came right at his doorstep.

"Why are you calling me, uncle?" asked Theodore, feigning ignorance.

"I need you to come to the company, we need to talk about the inheritance!" Floyd blurted out.

"Alright I'll meet you there, I have something to tell you anyway." Without saying anything Theodore immediately disconnected their call.

Theodore then grabbed the hoodie he usually used that was in his wardrobe, then immediately darted towards the garage to drive his car to the company in downtown K City.

. . .

Theodore stopped his brand-new Mercy in front of the company lobby, and walked inside casually.

Everyone in Spencer Corp already knew Theodore as he was the sole legal heir of the company.

From a distance Theodore could see Floyd's stocky figure hobbling towards him.

"You really came." Floyd was actually surprised that Theodore said that he was coming to the company.

Because Theodore had never responded to Floyd's request before.

"Hello, uncle! Where are we going to talk about inheritance?" Theodore asked without preamble.

"Come with me! The notary has been waiting for you since yesterday," Floyd replied, hardly able to conceal his excitement at the moment.

Theodore followed Floyd's hurried steps, he could see that his uncle was leading him to one of the conference rooms on the ground floor.

And sure enough when Theodore entered the room, there were already several people there, he also saw his father's assistant there.

Without saying much Theodore sat in one of the chairs there and waited for what would happen. Because in the past he had always avoided his uncle's proposals, so he didn't know what would happen here.

"Since everyone has arrived, I will read the inheritance letter left by Mr. Gregory Spencer to Theodore Spencer." A well-groomed and serious-looking man began to speak.

Theodore remained silent, wanting to hear firsthand what his father had left for him during this time.

"It says here that Mr. Theodore will receive 49% of the shares of Spencer Corporation, then two villas each in J City and N City, and 200 million dollars in money and jewellery." The notary read out the inheritance that Theodore would receive from the death of his parents.
