Chapter 4 - Preparations

In his previous life Theodore enjoyed a glittering nightlife, being a wealthy second-generation scoundrel.

Not only that Theodore enjoyed spending his parents' money for his own pleasure, there were many branded items in his house, from clothes, shoes, to the latest gadgets.

This time Theodore thought of selling all the useless items and exchanging them for the necessities of life later when the Apocalypse arrived.

"But, how do I sell them all? I don't know anything," Theodore muttered, scratching his head in dizziness as he knew nothing but wasting money.

It seemed like he should abandon his intention to sell these items and just use the money he already had.

"I'll just ask my friend about that matter. Right now I have to go get some food supplies!" Theodore had already decided to start his action to stockpile his supplies.

Before going to the various markets Theodore went to find a warehouse big enough to hold all his groceries later.

Fortunately, the Spencer family had a lot of places that could be used as warehouses, so Theodore only needed to go there and ask them to vacate the warehouse for his use.

The warehouse on Vermillion Street was close to the economic centre of K City, so this would make it easier for Theodore to move the groceries later.

"For the next six months don't use this warehouse, I will use it." Theodore said with the caretaker of the warehouse.

"But, sir. You know that this warehouse is often used by the company, so it will be difficult for you to use it." The caretaker was confused because he would have a hard time if Theodore suddenly said he would use the warehouse for personal matters.

"Wait, what did you just say?" With a flat face, Theodore gave the steward a sharp look.

"That's ..." Seeing how Theodore was looking at him, the storekeeper became more confused than ever.

Theodore sighed, "Then let's put it this way. I'll rent this warehouse for 3 months then, so you can report to your boss," Theodore replied then, he also didn't want to get the storekeeper into trouble for it.

The storekeeper's face brightened when he heard Theodore's words, so he quickly took Theodore to his small office and made a lease contract.

After receiving the contract Theodore took out the rent and of course he exceeded the amount because he still needed help from the storekeeper.

"Also, can you take care of my upcoming goods and let me know when they arrive?" Theodore said as he handed over the money.

The storekeeper's eyes widened in surprise when he saw the money Theodore had given him, and he quickly nodded his head, still speechless.

"I'm counting on you!" Theodore patted the storekeeper lightly on the shoulder, then walked away.

With his luxury car Theodore went to a traditional market that many people still visited, considering that he needed a large stock of goods so it would be more practical if he went directly to this place.

Actually Theodore intended to buy a lot of meat right away, but when he thought about it he needed a place to store the meat so it wouldn't spoil.

So Theodore decided to buy his other needs such as various flours, rice, and grains.

Since this was Theodore's first time shopping like this, he bought as much as he could, even going so far as to deplete the stocks of the merchants in the market.

"Can you deliver it to Spencer Corp's warehouse?" Theodore confirmed that they could deliver all the goods he had bought.

Hearing Theodore say something about Spencer Corp, the merchants began to understand why this young man bought all their supplies.

"It turns out you're someone from Spencer. Of course we can take him there," one of the merchants replied excitedly.

"Very good!" Theodore took out his business card and gave it to the merchant.

"Just tell them all the items are mine, the caretaker there will help you." After confirming that they understood, Theodore was about to leave.

But, then Theodore remembered what he was looking for this time and he didn't intend to wander around this market just to look for it, so he decided to ask the people here.

"I need your help. Do you know where a store that sells electronics such as large freezers or other refrigeration equipment is?"

"You can find such stores on the west side of the market," explained one of the merchants.

"Alright, thank you. I hope tonight you can deliver the goods to my warehouse," Theodore replied feeling quite impatient waiting for his goods to arrive.

"Take it easy, young master!" Those merchants would not make a mistake in front of a customer with a lot of money like this young man.

After that, Theodore left in the direction where the merchants had told him to go. Before Theodore stored his meat stock, he had to have a place to store it.

Although Theodore actually didn't know whether this was necessary or not because he felt that his personal dimension given by the System didn't work like the earth.

From what Theodore realised after entering the dimension several times, the time that runs in the Sacred Dimension is different from the earth.

For example, one hour in the sacred dimension is equal to two hours in the real world and there is also no day and night in the sacred dimension.

As long as Theodore is in the sacred dimension he continues to feel a soothing breeze and one thing is certain he cannot bring other living things into the sacred dimension.

But, even so Theodore still needed a storage place for his meat because there was nothing but a bamboo forest and a small river in the sacred dimension.

Halfway through his journey Theodore felt his cell phone ring and when he looked at it, his uncle's name appeared on it.

"What's with the fucking asshole again?!" Theodore was annoyed when he saw his uncle calling him again.

Even so, Theodore picked up the call to hear what else his uncle would complain to him about this time.

"Hello, uncle. What's wrong?" Theodore asked lazily.

"About the shares, can't you give them to me? How could you just sell them to the public like that!" Floyd's voice sounded panicked.

Theodore grinned because from what he heard from the notary, the other shareholders were already vying to buy the shares he sold.

"Even though you're my uncle, that doesn't mean I'm willing to give you all the shares. I was kind enough to let you buy the shares," Theodore replied casually.

When Theodore heard his uncle start yelling incoherently at him, he quickly disconnected the call.

"Thanks for the shares, my money is back." Theodore grinned happily, his crossing plan would definitely work.

Theodore estimated that the 49% of the shares he sold would be sold out in the next three days and it wouldn't take long for him to earn some new money.

There was still a lot Theodore needed to buy at the moment, he needed to buy a house in a safe base area and a military car that could withstand a zombie attack later.

Theodore even plans to buy some weapons for his own protection later and he knows that he needs a lot of money to get them.
