A servant walked in the passage, carrying a tray and she moved her feet towards the room where Eve was put. The guards at the door stopped her from proceeding forward and she said to them;
"I was told to bring this to her."
The guards looked at her briefly and then at what she was carrying and then one of them said, "No one is allowed to enter. Wait here and I will call her for you." He nudged his head to the other guard who turned towards the door and knocked twice.
"Answer if you can hear me," the guard said and waited for a response from Genevieve. He knocked again and the other guard said to the servant;
"I guess she is not hungry after all. Take your leave now."
The servant gave a slight bow and turned her feet to start walking away from there.
"Wait!" the other guard said, looking alarmed and he placed his ear close to the door. He removed his ear and said in a loud voice, "I am coming in now."
