Isabel stared at Eve as she picked her dress and folded it neatly at the side. When she was done and ready to leave, she called her;
"Eve."
Eve stopped and turned to look at her.
"Is there anything else you want me to do for you?" She asked her.
"No. I just want to ask something," Isabel said and then asked, "Where did you go this morning?"
Eve had left the house very early that morning and had gone to the side of the small river that was close to where the garden was. She went there to pray for Maidservant Ann, something she should have started before now.
"I was in the garden," she answered.
"Were you gazing up at the sun again?" Isabel asked.
"No, the sun wasn't up that time. Even when it did, it wasn't bright. The sky is cloudy today."
"Ah," Isabel said as if just realizing.
"Were you worried about my eyes?" Eve asked her and then said, "Don't worry, I told you I know my way around here."
