As Eve stood in the room with her heart beating at unusual speed, she suddenly saw Maidservant Ann snap her eyes at her and ask;
"You also knew about this, didn't you?"
Eve lowered her eyes and blinked as she held the side of her dress. She couldn't bring herself to say anything because she feared she might actually spill everything out. Her eyes then moved to see Isabel gathering her dress and rising to her feet.
"Where are you going?" Maidservant Ann asked her.
"To see my mother," Isabel replied and when she took a step forward, Maidservant Ann held her back.
"And if you meet her, what will change?" She asked.
Isabel shook her head dejectedly and said, "Nothing. I know. But I need to know why she did it. I am going to confront her myself."
Isabel left the room and Eve looked at Maidservant Ann who didn't say anything more. She turned her feet and followed after Isabel where she caught up with her outside the house.
