Eve sat with Jomei in front of the house and she listened to him explain everything that he knew and everything he told the princess. She could sense the pain in his voice and how he felt about losing Granny. She knows Granny was his favorite person in the marketplace and the same reason he was always everywhere in the market. If it wasn't for Granny, she would never have met Jomei, and the princess would not have formed a bond of mother to daughter with her.
As they both sat there in silence, she started to feel guilty. She had seen Granny get murdered, Jomei and the princess are still yet to know, but the princess knows her mother was involved and had gone to confront her. She wondered if everything was alright there.
