"I hate the water." I say as the bubbles started to move around us.
I began to swim slowly to the boat since the shark fin was behind us and if I remembered correctly sharks attacked prey that was seen moving a lot .
As I started to go through the bubbles they started to emit a kind of white fog as I went pass them.
They started to make a weird bussing noise as well and when they completely surrounded us I saw them start to pulse.
It was then that I new they weren't bubbles.
"Eggs?" I said since I reexamined them, they looked like frog eggs but with red dots in them instead of pure black.
I tried not to move fast but I was nervous as to what these were and what laid them.
Since they were just eggs I just had to be weary of if they had parents or predictors looking for a meal.
I continues to swim and I see the shark fin emerge rather far behind me from where the forest was. It seemed to be facing the opposite of me jugging how the fin was pointing.
"It must not have thought of us as food." I say hopefully since I don't want to have a fist fight with a shark and with the gun still flooded I wanted as much time as possible.
As we swam one of the eggs started shake violently in front of us. I was looking at it as we kept moving, trying to go around it.
The things started to hatch and a mosquito looking head with a stinger pop up with wings that were growing so fast I could hear it creaking like bamboo. It had a red metallic looking body with its wings a yellow and black, almost rainbow look to them. Its had six small legs that were screeching out, making an annoying noise. The thing that surprised me the most was that when it fully emerged from the egg it had a scorpions tail on its back moving around.
"What the." I say at the chimera insect started to move around making more noise.
It began to move its wings back and forth, beginning to hover over the other eggs in a disgusting way.
I started to noticed that more of the eggs starting to hatch around us.
"Just keep swimming, just keep swimming." I said in a chant to get out of here as fast as possible.
"Blood Stalk, are you good?" I asked since they were quiet for a long time and I wanted some kind of response.
"No..." They replied in a exhausted tone.
"We can make it to the boat. Just hold on until the gun starts working." I say in hopes of cheering them up. We just need to hold out until we can shoot another rocket and fly to safety.
The boat was getting closer and closer I could almost see the people on board. I hope they will help us since we don't look like the most normal right now.
Then something blocked my view of the boat, it was the fin now moving in front of us.
"How." I said in disbelief when something brushed our leg again.
I looked back and there was the fin and my heart sank a little.
"There are two." I say in realization on what I saw. There are two sharks in opposite ends blocking my escape at either end.
I then heard the noises get louder and there is now a swarm on those mosquito scorpions that just hatched hovering above us.
They circled us like a dark cloud hanging over ready to have lighting hit anything below it at any moment.
"This is, I am, what do I do." I have been trying so hard to do what to do to survive and at the last step to leaving this place I messed up. I have to fix this.
This can't be it right? Eaten alive in the ocean by sharks and bugs with rescue right in front of me.
"Charge!" I heard the sound effect play and I feel a sense of joy rush through me, reenergizing me once more in this hopeless situation.
I try and pull the trigger to which the gun started to light up.
"Yes, Yes, time to rocket out of here." I say pulling the trigger again but only regular bullets left the gun.
It fired into the air with a loud bang.
I fire a couple more times and the same thing happened.
"Why isn't it working? I have the rocket bottle in so why won't you shoot rockets?" I say in fear and desperation as a swarm of those mosquitoes were hit by those stray shoots and seemed to be enraged now.
"No, not now, not now."
