Aaron didn't know how people of that world used to communicate over long distances, but he didn't see any signs of birds flying in the sky alone in opposite directions. So, he kept an eye out for messengers using those lizards. He didn't find them either while he was moving, though.
"I guess it would be obvious for them to have special routes… that guy should know that I am heading toward his Great Elder or something, so he will make sure that his message will arrive before me," Aaron thought while he was taking a break and drinking water in a pond that he found. "The great elder will be ready to receive me, so I should be ready for some confrontation as well… I might be able to face a small army in an open field, but Thousand Step won't be that effective in a city filled with obstacles."
