Max was left alone in the aftermath of completing his final mission as a member of the 'shadow wolves'.
Iris had gone away on a business meeting to talk about their recaps of the month and about the completion of the hardest mission they had gotten yet.
Elly was also out, but it was out of her own volition: she went to the mansion's kitchen to prepare a meal for Max.
Surprisingly, it wasn't rare for Elly to cook for Max as she enjoyed doing it and felt like it made them closer, she would often during these past months ask the servants to aid them, and she was basically their chief as she was way better than them.
She wanted to cook the best meal possible for Max after he came back as a way for him to heal faster, even though the boy was already pretty much well enough to go on another dangerous quest.
It did advantage him though as he was now left alone in his bedroom, sitting on the edge of the bed.
