Chapter 45 - What Game?

Upon knowing that, David felt his blood boiling as his grip on the phone tightened. The person at the other end of the call asked, "Sir, should I forward to you a picture of her daughter…" 

David's hands trembled with fury as he listened to the voice on the other end of the line. "No, I don't want to see what she's created with that jerk," he snapped, his voice laced with bitterness, before abruptly ending the call.

His anger boiled over as he unleashed a torrent of frustration, kicking the bed and casting the sheet to the floor in a fit of rage. "How could she lie to me again?" he seethed, his mind swirling with betrayal and hurt.

Feelings of betrayal gnawed at him as he grappled with the realization that Carissa had deceived him once more. His heart wrestled with conflicting emotions as he struggled to reconcile his desire for revenge with the lingering hope that things could have been different between them.
