Carissa's gaze narrowed as David gestured for her to come to him by tapping his lap. She hesitated, refusing to obey, despite her butt hanging midway in the air. "What if someone walks in and sees us? It's highly inappropriate..." she protested.
"Do I give a damn?" David chuckled. "And as for someone coming in, let me handle that. Come to me, love." He gestured again, beckoning her over.
Trying to hide her flushed cheeks, Carissa reluctantly approached him. He sat her on his lap and gently cupped her face, initiating a kiss that she couldn't resist. It was passionate and intense, yet tender, and would have gone further if not for the image of Nikki creeping into Carissa's mind, forcing her to pull away.
"See? Someone might just walk in," she reminded nervously, glancing at the door.
"So? Are you worried about someone or feeling shy now?" David raised his eyebrows.
