Chapter 3 - [3] Confused Mother

H-huge!

That's all he could think of when Luke noticed how enormous that roasted bird was. It was almost three times larger than a Turkey from his previous life.

Wait a moment! Is this just for me? Holy shit! How much does this guy even eat!!

Surprised, Luke stared at her mother and the plate she was holding for a good time.

Only when she put the bird on the small table beside the bed did he turn his eyes and think about how to behave in front of this beautiful Milf lady.

Although Alicia was his mother now, only biologically, he couldn't help but think how attractive and sexy she was when he focused on her alluring body closely and had only a single thought going in his mind— Fuck her! Do it! It doesn't matter!

"Luke, I brought your favourite food. Let's eat it together, alright? Even if you're not hungry, still you have to eat something... I'll help you, okay?" Alicia said happily and lovingly as she sat down next to Luke and put her hand on his head.

"Really?" he said while looking at her with his expectant eyes.

Alicia smiled, nodded and then brought a single juicy piece of meat to his mouth, which he gladly ate and also deliberately licked her long fingers while putting the roasted meat in his mouth, "It's tasty!"

Hearing him happily say that, a motherly smile naturally materialized on Alicia's face.

Next, without a word, Luke also picked some food and brought it next to his mother's little mouth. Surprised, Alicia neither backed off nor did she feel embarrassed, and immediately put the food inside her mouth, though some of his fingers still came in contact with her cherry-like lips, which he intended to do from the start.

For a few minutes, both of them ate together while exchanging food with each other.

At that moment, Alicia felt extreme happiness brimming in her because her son had never shown such an open side to her, especially with that cute smile on his face, which held a unique charm of its own and captivated her mind for some reason.

"Luke... Arthur did not try anything to harm or bully you, did he? You can tell me straight if he dares to try something funny with My Son, I'll make sure to kick both his and his grandfather's asses..." Alicia said as she began to pat Luke's head gently while looking at him with adoring eyes.

Even he could tell that she was genuinely worried about his well-being. For she was his birth mother, it would be unreasonable to say that she wasn't a protective and caring type of mother.

"No, he didn't harm me. But, if he does it in the future then I'll surely inform you about that, Mother... Although I don't think it would be necessary because I'm not going to go out anymore... That would very likely wouldn't cause me any trouble, as I don't have to talk with that freak anymore," Luke said in a calm tone.

When Alicia heard him say such things so calmly, her happy face suddenly turned into a worried one.

"Luke! You can't stay in your room like that..." she said nervously and thought why would her son ever want to shut in himself like that? There weren't many reasons, though there was an important one— Luke having crippled Mana Channels among the children in the Clan and perhaps might be feeling envy since he wasn't able to absorb Mana like his sisters and other children till now.

For once, she understood that human children had to start their Magician journey at the age of 15 because that's the time when Spirituality attains its peak form in the body. Yet, children of other races didn't have to follow such rules as they had a huge lifespan granted since their birth, unlike humans who only gain additional life after breaking through into the next Star.

Alicia grabbed his hands and looked deep into his golden eyes. For a moment, she didn't know what to say since her son had never said something so depressive. He was a shy, sweet, and gentle boy who never uttered anything to cause her concern. However, she now realized that all the pleasant memories and moments they shared were merely a facade that Luke had crafted, leading her to believe in a reality that wasn't true.

Alicia Pov:

No...

To talk in such a way, My baby must be devastated right now...

I have to do something for him...

Maybe I should cook his favourite food.

No... I already did it.

Perhaps I should stay with him for a few days, but I have plenty of remaining work to complete during this week...

Ah, think Alicia!

Think!

Your son needs you now more than ever, work can go to hell!

Luke is the most important person in your life, you can't just let him stay like this.

Pov End...

Luke just stayed quiet, his gaze fixed downward, and his eyes remained dead-like as if he was at the peak of depression.

However, his thoughts were saying something else.

Now what are you going to do... Your beloved son is in depression and looks like he doesn't want to live anymore... What will be your next actions, dear mother...

Suddenly, Alicia's expression changed and turned into a resolute one.

"Luke, you cannot admit defeat with yourself this early you know. Even if you don't have Mana Channels right now, sooner or later, your father and I will find a way to fix them for you, okay? And your sisters are also trying their best to find a spell in the Academy to help you even now... So no need to feel depressed, my son, just don't think about it too much... Also, I'll make sure to report Arthur's behaviour to the Clan Leader, then he won't even think of teasing my son anymore," she said in a sweet voice while patting Luke's head gently all this time, with a charming smile adorning her Immortal-like face.

Nice try!

Luke nodded, looked up and just stared at her mother's violet eyes.

Then, his gaze turned soft as he held his mother's hands between his and said in a pleading tone, "Thank you, Mother... But, that's not the reason why I'm upset... All this time I was thinking whom do you love more, me or my father?"
